There are certain flavors that immediately make you feel like you're eight years old again. And for me, one of those is that cinnamony sweet breakfast flavor. Like the milk at the bottom of the cereal bowl, they absolutely were not going to leave behind. So when Cachava came out with cinnamon French toast, I thought, okay, this is very much speaking my language. It's warm and cinnamony, and just has that really nostalgic breakfast flavor. And they actually use real cinnamon bark, which I think is why it tastes so rich instead of having that fake, overly sweet cinnamon taste. And meanwhile, it's Cachava. So two scoops give you plant-based protein, fiber, greens, and so much more. It's one of those rare things that tastes like a treat, but is actually giving your body something substantial. Treat yourself to a childhood favorite. Go to cachava.com and use code 1000Hours for 15% off your first order. That's cachava, kachava.com, code 1000Hours.
There are so many things we think about when we think about our kids' future. What will they become? Who will they marry? Where will they live? What will our family look like 10, 20, 30 years from now? And somewhere along the way, we realize that planning for their future also means planning for the possibility that life doesn't go exactly the way we hope. That's why we have life insurance. Not because we live afraid of what might happen. Actually it's the opposite. It gives us peace of mind knowing that if something happened to one of us, the other wouldn't suddenly be trying to figure out how to support five kids while also dealing unimaginable loss. If you've been putting this off, ethos makes getting life insurance remarkably simple. It's 100 percent online. You can get a quote in seconds, apply in minutes, and potentially get same day coverage. There's no medical exam, just a few simple health questions. You can get up to $3 million in coverage with some policies as low as $30 a month. You spend your whole life taking care of your family. This is one more way to take care of their future. Take 10 minutes to get covered today with life insurance through ethos. Get a free quote at ethos.com/1000hours. That's ethos.com/1000hours.

I'm the founder of 1000 Hours Outside. It is an absolute treat to have the opportunity to talk with Dr. Tamara Rosier. We are coming at you from the same state of Michigan. Dr. Tamara Rosier is author of several books.
She is... Did you say that you were the founder of the ADHD Center in West Michigan?
Yes, yes. So incredibly accomplished in helping families to navigate ADHD, the newest book that you have out. So you wrote a book called Your Brain's Not Broken, Strategies for Navigating Your Emotions in Life with ADHD and a new book that has just come out, which is Your Brain's Not Broken for Teens and Young Adults. It's a fantastic book that you can just put right in the hands. Obviously you can read some of it together, but you could put right into the hands of your teens and your young adults as they're starting to navigate these bigger choices and situations in life. Welcome to you, Tamara.

I am thrilled to be here.
I listen to your podcasts. You're just good people and I love that.
Ginny Yurich (3:06)
Thank you.
I was if you give a little bit of your backstory, you talk in your books about your own life and you've got ADHD yourself, so you're navigating the world with ADHD, and you have three kids that have ADHD and one kid that does not have ADHD, so there's been I'm sure a lot for you to learn as a mother. But one of the things that you talk about is that it's not often something someone else might see.
Tamara Rosier (3:32)
Yeah.
Since I've published a book, have a PhD, some of the comments, and by the way, I shouldn't read comments. I have no business reading comments like on Reddit or anything, but I do. So every once in a while. But one is, well, I doubt she really has ADHD if she can do all that.
I'm like, honey, follow me around the house when I'm trying to delete or listen to me tell a story from the inside out. ADHD is this hidden thing. I'm going to be really honest, women tend to hide it the best. We run our houses, we run businesses, we go to jobs, and there's less leeway for us to kind of show our ADHD. So we cover it up. And I know you read the books, so you know that we cover it up using anxiety to motivate ourselves and all these other tricks.
