There are certain flavors that immediately make you feel like you're eight years old again. And for me, one of those is that cinnamony sweet breakfast flavor. Like the milk at the bottom of the cereal bowl, they absolutely were not going to leave behind. So when Cachava came out with cinnamon French toast, I thought, okay, this is very much speaking my language. It's warm and cinnamony, and just has that really nostalgic breakfast flavor. And they actually use real cinnamon bark, which I think is why it tastes so rich, instead of having that fake, overly sweet cinnamon taste. And meanwhile, it's Cachava. So two scoops give you plant-based protein, fiber, greens, and so much more. It's one of those rare things that tastes like a treat, but is actually giving your body something substantial. Treat yourself to a childhood favorite. Go to cachava.com and use code 1000HOURS for 15% off your first order. That's cachava, kachava.com, code 1000HOURS.
There are so many things we think about when we think about our kids' future. What will they become? Who will they marry? Where will they live? What will our family look like 10, 20, 30 years from now? And somewhere along the way, we realize that planning for their future also means planning for the possibility that life doesn't go exactly the way we hope. That's why we have life insurance, not because we live afraid of what might happen. Actually it's the opposite. It gives us peace of mind knowing that if something happened to one of us, the other wouldn't suddenly be trying to figure out how to support five kids while also dealing unimaginable loss. If you've been putting this off, ethos makes getting life insurance remarkably simple. It's 100 percent online. You can get a quote in seconds, apply in minutes, and potentially get same day coverage. There's no medical exam, just a few simple health questions. You can get up to $3 million in coverage with some policies as low as $30 a month. You spend your whole life taking care of your family. This is one more way to take care of their future. Thank you so much, and thanks for having me on.

Okay, so this is a full circle moment for me. When I started podcasting and having interviews, it's been about five years. It was August of 2021
And the first guest I ever had was an expert on sleep. His name is Dr. Chris Winter. And I had never interviewed anybody before, but I had a podcast with a couple episodes on it. And he reached out and said, I've got this new book coming out. It's called The Rested Child. Would you be interested in interviewing me and helping me launch the book?
And I had never interviewed anyone before, but I thought it seemed, you know, maybe like a cool idea. Then I was very nervous, but it went really well. It went well. The interview went well. People seemed to like it. And that was the impetus for the entire podcast. Started on this interview about kids and sleep and how unbelievably important it is. Everything from getting outdoors to what we're sleeping on, movement and all of that. It just helps the brain. So you started a mattress company in 2007 for the sake of solving a problem. So I would love if you would take us back to, has it been about 20 years and what was going on in your home and what solutions you were trying to find and couldn't?

**Tim Masters** (3:36)
Sure.
I am a mattress maker and I have been since a teenager.
So my wife and I, Cindy, we started our family and our second daughter, Emily, was born in 6 And Emily had eczema and just allergies, more than your typical childhood allergies. So Cindy had said, why don't you make Emily an organic crib mattress? I'm like, great idea. Like I would make organic mattresses, like onesie twosies, like in the early 2000s. Like, you know, back then it was like the hippies would come in, I need organic this, organic that. And I would source the organic cotton and do the best I could, you know, and make a mattress for them.
