Okay. You have written so many books.
Jesus the High Road Leader, Pray First, Out of the Cave, What's Next, The Daniel Dilemma, Your Pastor, and also a Chancellor at Highlands College. What is a Chancellor?

**Chris Hodges** (1:44)
That's a great question. I think the Chancellor really is the guy who raises money for the university.
So, no, I'm the founder of this great university that is raising up the next generation of Christian leaders. I actually taught a religion class at the Air Force Academy back in the late 80s and early 90s, and I got bit by that Academy model. So, they're a four-year university, but it's not just academics. They have four pillars of learning, academics just being one of them. So, they also train the heart. They have a character pillar, they have a military training pillar, and then they have a physical development pillar. So, it's more of a holistic approach to a university setting. And we're the first Christian university in the country that's using that four-pillar model where we're training.

This is what we should be doing in all educational atmospheres. I think so too.

**Chris Hodges** (2:37)
In fact, it's actually what's missing because information's free now. So, if all we're gonna do is make students sit in a lecture hall and take notes, I mean, there's no value proposition to that anymore because information's so widely available.
But what is not available is mentoring, discussion, character training. You can be a 4 student and have wound issues and habits and addictions and things like that, that never get addressed, that can derail you later in life.

At least letter writing in general was more of a common practice. And I heard someone say one time, they really valued, they had this letter from a parent, like they really valued how their dad signed the, you know, she was like, I don't have any other spot where my dad signed my name. You know, I see his actual writing. It's a really special, unique thing. So you talk about how John D. Rockefeller Sr. did this.

**Chris Hodges** (3:55)
Right.

**Ginny Yurich** (3:56)
He was one of the wealthiest men in history. He wrote 38 personal letters to his son.
It wasn't even like the business stuff. It was like about life.

**Chris Hodges** (4:04)
Right, right.
