**Cara** (0:20)
Hey, everyone, welcome to Bless This Mess and the True Crime Podcast. I'm Cara here with Stu. Say hey, Stu.

**Stu** (0:24)
Hey. All right.

**Cara** (0:25)
We're back this week and we're going back to Louisiana. We have our...

**SPEAKER_3** (0:28)
Back to Baton Rouge.

**Cara** (0:29)
Yes, we have our third serial killer in that time frame. Sorry, I was having some issues.
Drinking a diet coke. So because Target failed me and I really wanted a glass of Prosecco Rose, and then so I bit the bullet and was like, okay, I got a deal on delivery. So I was going to have them deliver it. And then I you over in the drive-thru.

**Stu** (0:55)
So we don't get fun care for this one.

**Cara** (0:57)
No.
So they were delayed. So then I had to cancel it because I'm like, I don't want it if it's going to be, the point was for you to get here fast about me having to get out in this 100 plus degree weather. Because it is so hot here, everybody. It is so hot. The air conditioner can't even keep up. No. It's been like warm in here. Even the five-year-old today, when we were in here doing her reading lesson, she was like, it's hot in here. And I was thinking, it is hot in here. And I know it's hot in Houston. Okay. Everybody, we know it's hot. We know it's human, but I'll take that over.
It's like stepping into an oven here. It really is. That's what it feels like when it's hot. It's a dry heat.

**SPEAKER_3** (1:41)
That's how I sold the place to stew. But it's a bunch of bullshit.

**Cara** (1:45)
Everybody's like, it's a dry heat.

**SPEAKER_3** (1:46)
Like, it's no big deal because it's a dry heat.

**Stu** (1:49)
Oh, when you actually go in the shade, you actually get cooler.

**Cara** (1:52)
It's true, though. When you go in the shade, you do get cooler. However, if you step out and just from your air conditioner, it's the first time that you're stepping out in the day. And it's later in the evening when it's like real like five p.m. or so, the hottest part, it does feel like you've just opened your oven and stuck your head in.

**Stu** (2:11)
Took a big old breath.

**Cara** (2:12)
Yes. So it is hot here.

**Stu** (2:15)
Yes, I cannot wait to get back to the humidity. Yes, we'll take the humidity. Never thought I would say that, but I cannot wait to get back to the humidity.

**Cara** (2:21)
So if you are new here, we are moving in now for, it's right at four weeks, the movers will be here. We have movers because it is, we're moving for my job. So they do provide movers, thank God, because I just would sit here and cry. I would really just cry. I wouldn't move and be like, nevermind, this is where we live for the rest of our lives.

**Stu** (2:43)
No, I will stay here.

**Cara** (2:44)
So actually, I take that back.

**Stu** (2:46)
I will not. I'll just take all this shit to Goodwill and be done with it.

**Cara** (2:49)
Yes, just start over new, at the new place from scratch. Anyways, but yeah, we are in the midst of, midst, midst, midst?

**Stu** (3:00)
Midst.
Midst. M-I-D.

**Cara** (3:03)
Midst of moving.
And so decluttering, trying to, I did get the bathroom done, like all the, I threw away a ton of stuff out of the bathroom, so that's all good. And we got to slowly just try to get some of it done, but at this point, we're just taking it all, and then we'll figure it out when we get there. I'm just so excited because this is an older house. It's two-story, which is a new situation for us. I will say I'm-

**Stu** (3:28)
Get my steps in.

**Cara** (3:29)
Yes, it's a new situation for us to have a two-story home. But with the square footage we need, it is hard to get these, it's hard to get a house that's not two-story for the square footage we needed for six people living in the-

**Stu** (3:43)
Your options are very limited.

**Cara** (3:44)
You can get a ranch style home, but they don't have a lot of those in neighborhoods, where we need to be close to my work and stuff. You could find that more probably in the country, like a ranch style home or the one that was like 80s style, those long ones. Is that what it's called? Ranch style?

**Stu** (4:02)
They got ranch style with the platter roof, yeah.
