Hey, everyone, welcome to Bless This Mess and The True Crime Podcast. I'm Cara, here with Stu. Say hey, Stu.

**Stu** (0:24)
Hey.

**Cara** (0:25)
All right, we are back this week, and we are going back to Louisiana, Stu. We're doing a-

**Stu** (0:29)
Are we?

**Cara** (0:29)
Yes, we're doing a series. We're covering the...
Apparently, Louisiana has one of the highest serial killer ratios per capita. I think it's number seven in the United States based on the amount of people. So we're doing a little run through Louisiana about the different serial killers. Last week, we covered Derrick Todd Lee, which is probably the most famous serial killer, I would say.

**Stu** (0:58)
Out of the state.

**Cara** (0:59)
Yes, except for maybe people have heard- Well, yeah, I think he's the most famous. People have also probably heard of the Axeman because of the American Horror Story coven. Remember, he was in that. I think we covered the Axeman, didn't we? We did cover the Axeman a long time ago. So anyways, we're going through different serial killers. And so this week, we are covering one Sean Vincent Gillis.
He was one of the three that was operating at the same time as Derrick Todd Lee.
Anyways, we have our- So we'll get into that in a minute. We do have our co-host back.

**Stu** (1:39)
Yes.

**Cara** (1:40)
It is 10, 15 at night. And you're like, well, why isn't this baby asleep? And that's a great question.

**Stu** (1:46)
That's why we have asked him over and over.

**Cara** (1:48)
Because what's happened is the last two, last night and this night, last night we thought it was just a fluke, but he did it again tonight.
We got to get him on a better schedule in the evening because what he's doing, he's fallen asleep early, but it's too early. So he's taking a little cat nap, and then he don't want to sleep when it's time to go to sleep. So now he's on a little another wake window right now. But we had already planned on recording this, and all the other children are actually asleep, so he might just have to hang out in here with us. Hopefully, he's not too noisy.

**Stu** (2:23)
We shall see.

**Cara** (2:23)
Well, he was quiet until just now when we started recording, then all of a sudden now he's going to start. I guess he's got things to say. He's...
Anyway, so we would like to thank all of our Patreons. We appreciate it. If you'd like to join our... I know. Yeah, they got you some diapers.
If you'd like to join our Patreon, you get the episodes 24 hours early and ad free. We also would like you to rate, review, subscribe. Five stars only, okay? There's a baby in here. Don't be throwing that negative energy at us. I mean, come on. We got four kids. Why would you do that? That's just mean. Then we have Instagram, Facebook, TikTok. We share dinners each night. The page is completely just me sharing dinners, but that's what the people want to see.

**SPEAKER_3** (3:13)
So I give it to them.

**Cara** (3:14)
You know, I'm doing something cool this week.
And that is I cooked. So this is my new thing. And I think I'm going to start writing down my menus each week. So I figured out that cooking dinner at night, the hardest part about cooking dinner at night is the meat. And so like dealing with the meat, cleaning up after the meat, like all the stuff with the meat, you know.

**Stu** (3:39)
Cooking sex could be cooking, could be sex, I don't know.

**Cara** (3:42)
Anyways, the meat.
So sometimes I cook the ground beef or like do shredded chicken and I freeze it. That way you don't have to, you just thaw it out and you can use it for whatever. Well, this week what I tried was I got a pork roast, a really big one. I roasted in the crock pot or no, I roasted in the Dutch oven because I was too hungover. That's a different story for a different day. I was so hungover because I went to a wedding with an open bar.

**Stu** (4:14)
We should have recorded that night.

**Cara** (4:15)
My boss's wedding day.

**Stu** (4:17)
We should have recorded that night.

**SPEAKER_3** (4:19)
I was unfunctional.

**Cara** (4:21)
Anyways, I cooked this giant pork shoulder and shredded it up. So each night I'm using the meat, as we work through the week, I'm using the meat in different ways. So first night we did just it over rice with broccoli on the side, like a Sunday dinner.
