The Joe Rogan Experience.

Hello, Peter. Good to see you. We're fucking neighbors, man. How are you liking the move?

Peter Attia (0:20)

Loving it.

Joe Rogan (0:21)

Yeah, you've been here a year now, right? A solid year?

Peter Attia (0:23)

A little over, yeah.

Joe Rogan (0:25)

Loving it?

Peter Attia (0:26)

I don't know what took so long.

Joe Rogan (0:27)

Yeah, it's a different world, right?

Peter Attia (0:29)

Yeah.

Joe Rogan (0:30)

When you live in a place that only has a million people, it's like, oh, wow, this is, you could do everything here.

Peter Attia (0:37)

If I'd done this three years earlier, I could have paid half as much for my house, too. That's the other thing.

Joe Rogan (0:41)

Right.

Peter Attia (0:43)

It's so smart to have done this in 2017

Joe Rogan (0:45)

Well, lucky you did it then and not now, because now it's even harder. It's harder to find a house.

It's almost impossible.

Peter Attia (0:52)

Yeah, I mean, every person we introduce to our real estate agent says the same thing, which is like, you have to build. Yeah.

Joe Rogan (0:59)

Yeah, it's that wild, which is, I guess, good.

I don't know. It's tricky, because Google's building their, they have this gigantic sail-looking building near the river. Have you seen it?

Peter Attia (1:13)

Oh yeah.

Joe Rogan (1:14)

Yeah, so there's gonna be a bunch of Wokesters running around from that place. They're gonna have to fill that building up.

You know, and then you get, is there a more woke corporation than Google?

Peter Attia (1:24)

Yes.

Joe Rogan (1:25)

Which one?

Peter Attia (1:25)

Microsoft.

Did you hear that thing Ben Shapiro did? Oh my god.

Joe Rogan (1:31)

I didn't hear it. What'd he do?

Peter Attia (1:33)

He did, it's so funny that I went and listened to it, again, recorded it on my phone off my computer just so I could text it to my friends. So they had this thing where...

Joe Rogan (1:43)

I saw the thing.

Peter Attia (1:44)

Where they introduced, everyone introduced themselves.

Joe Rogan (1:46)

With their pronouns and they described themselves.

Peter Attia (1:49)

You're right, so I would say, hi, my name is Peter Attia. I'm a light skinned guy with a shaved head wearing a green shirt. I go by he, him.

Joe Rogan (1:55)

Yeah, and you would say Caucasian, probably.

Peter Attia (1:57)

Yes, yes, I would, I would, right. And, but then one of the women said, before we begin, I would just like to state that our land, the land that this building sits on was actually once owned by her, and she rattled off 17 tribes.

At which point, my brother was like, well, just show me the title deed. Is it yours or is it theirs? Because if it's theirs, you really should give it back.

Joe Rogan (2:23)

What is happening?

What's going on? But Microsoft, which is interesting, they were never like this. Like, all of a sudden, they went full tilt. They just went from zero to 11, right? They don't have a history of like, ads that were woke.

Peter Attia (2:43)

It has provided-

Joe Rogan (2:44)

Give me some volume on this, because it's so stupid.

SPEAKER_4 (2:47)

And lots in store for you.

First, we want to acknowledge that the land where the Microsoft campus is situated was traditionally occupied by the Sammamish, the Duwamish, the Snoqualmie, the Suquamish, the Muckleshoot, the Sno-Homish, the Tulalip, and other Coast Salish peoples since time immemorial. A people that are still here, continuing to honor and bring to light their ancient heritage. My name is Alison Wine.

Joe Rogan (3:18)

Hey, give back their land.

SPEAKER_4 (3:19)

I'm a senior program manager in our developer tools division. I'm an Asian white female with dark brown hair wearing a red sleeveless top.

Joe Rogan (3:28)

I'm watching this.

Peter Attia (3:28)

And I'm Seth Juarez, program manager of the AI Platform Group. I'm a tall Hispanic male wearing a blue shirt, khaki pants.

Today we kick off two days of learning more about the latest solutions, exploring how these key innovations can empower you to do great things and connecting with peers around the world.

Joe Rogan (3:42)

They didn't tell their pronouns. The other folks told their pronouns.

SPEAKER_5 (3:45)

Is that for hearing impaired people?

Peter Attia (3:47)

No, it's for visually impaired people. Which is the greatest irony, right? It's like, we want the people who can't see our color to know our color.

Joe Rogan (3:56)

Ooh, right.

Peter Attia (3:57)

It literally is the most logically inconsistent thing you could ever have with what we think are the right values.
