Joe Rogan (0:13)

First of all, it's an honor and a privilege. An honor and a privilege.

Snoop Dogg (0:17)

No, it's my privilege and it's my honor. It's a motivation, Joe.

Joe Rogan (0:20)

Very few human beings that have managed to do as many things as you have, and to do it as... you've been relevant for fucking decades, man. It's incredible.

Snoop Dogg (0:31)

Man, I work hard and I hard.

Joe Rogan (0:32)

I know you do. You do.

Snoop Dogg (0:36)

But you know what the thing, the key to it all is, Joe?

Joe Rogan (0:38)

What?

Snoop Dogg (0:38)

Everything that I do and everything that I've done has been based around fun. So the fun element has always been the key factor. Like, it has never been money motivated. It's always been, man, this is fun to do and I love doing it. And then it was so fun that it ended up making me funds.

Joe Rogan (0:56)

Well, you've managed to make a career out of being yourself. That's where it's amazing.

Snoop Dogg (1:01)

Yeah, but that's the easiest job everybody got, just to wake up in the morning and do you.

Joe Rogan (1:05)

Yeah, but so many people have a hard time doing that publicly.

Snoop Dogg (1:09)

Right, because it's so easy to want to be like something that's out there that feels like it's easier to do and it's more impressionable and it's an easy follow. But when you wake up and do yourself, that's just the organic thing that you were built with that you know how to do in your sleep.

Joe Rogan (1:27)

It's true, but it's hard for people to be themselves publicly.

They try so hard and they think about their image. They try so hard to cultivate something.

Snoop Dogg (1:39)

I know, because I've been around those kind of people that got to hide, and then all of a sudden, as soon as the lights go off, then they want to come hang out with you and let their hair down, and they start explaining to you how they can't, they can't. Man, I wish I could do what you do.

You can do whatever you want to do. You're just worried about what people are going to say as opposed to the way you feel. I don't worry about what people say. As long as I feel good, I'm going to keep doing it.

Joe Rogan (1:59)

It's the way to do it.

I think by your example, many more people can learn. They can figure out a way to live their life authentically.

Snoop Dogg (2:08)

If it feels good to you, it must be good for you.

Joe Rogan (2:11)

What about heroin? I ain't trying that shit either.

SPEAKER_3 (2:17)

We are never trying heroin, heroin, heroin. You got your own mic.

Snoop Dogg (2:26)

Don't fucking play with me, Joe. I'm prepared today. Give me a... I can use your ashtray?

Joe Rogan (2:30)

Sure, of course.

Snoop Dogg (2:31)

Okay, perfect. Thank you. We're family.

Joe Rogan (2:33)

Yeah, get in there.

Snoop Dogg (2:34)

Will do. I'm going to start off light. I'm going to start off with some flyweight division.

Joe Rogan (2:40)

What is this stuff?

Snoop Dogg (2:41)

This is just some flyweight to get me going, you know. I like watching the women fight.

Joe Rogan (2:45)

And so you roll blunts with, like, do you take apart a Swisher Sweets? What do you do?

Snoop Dogg (2:51)

I used to be a Philly Blunt guy, then I used to be a Swisher Sweets guy, and now I'm a Backwood guy.

Joe Rogan (2:57)

Backwoods?

Snoop Dogg (2:58)

Yeah, Backwoods. One of the little homies turned me out. You know, this is a young man's thing, but I hang with all of the youngsters, and you know, they be pushing it on me. Unh, hit the Backwood, hit the Backwood. I'm like, I ain't smoking that.

And when I finally hit it, I just like the way it made me feel. It was like, it was a relaxer rather than me, you know, going to sleep or wanting to be too excited. It was like the perfect, it was the perfect match for me, especially at the Asia, man.

Mmm.

Joe Rogan (3:21)

And so you just buy the cigar, take it apart, remove the tobacco, you do it all yourself.

Snoop Dogg (3:27)

You just watched me put one together in 37 seconds.

Joe Rogan (3:29)

That's your thing.

Snoop Dogg (3:31)

And you do know that.

Joe Rogan (3:34)

I learned how to smoke Blunts from Charlie Murphy. That's when I first started smoking Blunts.
