Awesome. Hi, Tanuj. Thank you so much for joining us on BlitzBusiness. It's a pleasure to have you.

Tanuj Gupta (0:05)

Thank you.

Ashish Airon (0:07)

Awesome. Let's get started. So, Tanuj, tell us a little bit about yourself first. Then we'll talk about business and all.

Tanuj Gupta (0:15)

Tanuj, I'm based in Gazibar. I'm from Gazibar itself. And I completed my graduation around in 22 And after that, I studied in US and UK as well. And after that, I joined the business.

And after I joined the business, I learned for a few months and then ongoing, ongoing started initiating new things. Looked what we can do at our best. What are we missing out on? After learning at the university, having an exposure, I got an option to join the business. So it was a fun journey till here.

Ashish Airon (0:58)

So, how was the US and UK experience? Reference, US or UK?

Tanuj Gupta (1:04)

See, if you want to give a completely different exposure, you should go to US because UK is somewhat on the same, same kind of people, Delhi people have become very much there. In US, more exposure is available.

Ashish Airon (1:18)

Really?

Tanuj Gupta (1:20)

Yes, in London, Delhi heights are very much there, meaning, students from a lot of west universities. In US, more exposure is available. I feel like that. I could be wrong, but for me, it's the same.

Ashish Airon (1:31)

And in US?

Tanuj Gupta (1:32)

In US, you get to experience different culture. Their thinking is very different. Mindset is different. I stayed in New York. I was in Long Island, but I go to Manhattan every 2-3 days in a week. So, we used to get exposure in the universities. We used to take them to a medical factory, where medicines were produced. It was a great exposure for us. It was in BDA. Bachelors in Business in 3 Confidential.

Ashish Airon (2:09)

So, they tend to take you to different, different... They have tie-ups. Is it like this or what?

Tanuj Gupta (2:17)

Amity have tie-ups in UK and US as well. In US, they have their own university. And UK, they have partnered with different universities.

Ashish Airon (2:26)

In US, they have their own university.

Tanuj Gupta (2:29)

They have big campus.

Ashish Airon (2:32)

This, I was not aware.

Tanuj Gupta (2:34)

They have the binomy of Amity itself. They have partnered there with Adilfi University as well.

Ashish Airon (2:42)

Understood. So, we are going to talk about business. So, what is your business?

Tanuj Gupta (2:47)

So, we are into home appliances. White goods we have entered. And we have more than 200 plus products. Our brand is by the name of Thermocool Home Appliances. And we have more than 200 products. We have coolers, we have TV, we have washing machine. And we have heaters, geysers, pedestal fans, many more variety. And we are this year launching fridge and AC. We are entering into white goods as well.

Ashish Airon (3:17)

And all these products of yours, how much percentage is made here or is it mostly white label?

Tanuj Gupta (3:24)

No, sir. We have kept our entire supply chain in house till the back track. We have a few major things in the cooler. It's motor, the pump of the cooler, the body of the cooler, designing, the engineering.

All those things are in our house. So we have a production team in house. We produce around, we have the capacity around for 5 to 10 lakh cooler per year.

Ashish Airon (3:50)

Okay.

Tanuj Gupta (3:51)

And we have a scope to grow a lot. And we are completely manufacturing in house. We have an R&D team here. We have a quality head too. We manufacture a lot of things in house. Like pedestal fan, we do in house too. Ceiling fan, we do in house too. And there are a lot of things in white label too. You can't manufacture all of them.

Ashish Airon (4:11)

True, true, true. I remember there was a... Noida said this company came. Forgetting.

I was forgetting the name. Anyway, you will remember it now. So one thing what I understand about this place is that the thick components are the same. If you get a motor, a fan, you can make a lot of products in its variation. This is my understanding.

Tanuj Gupta (4:36)

There are a lot of things in engineering. There are things on engineering, like how is the air flow of the product, how is the product quality. Because a cooler is a very necessary product. A person can't live in the summer. It doesn't get hot in India, it gets caught. So, now from, as you can see in 2-3 years, the weather conditions go harsh in India. If you get a cooler, don't worry.
