The Joe Rogan Experience.
Joe Rogan (0:14)
Good to go, all right, I haven't officially read more fiction from you than any, there's like, there's two other people, JR. Tolkien and Stephen King. He's the only other two people.
Jack Carr (0:26)
That's quite, that's a rare error right there to be in, so thank you, man. Thank you so much.
Joe Rogan (0:32)
I've been listening to the audiobook, I won't lie, which is odd because the guy does the girl voices.
Jack Carr (0:36)
I know it's tough. Yeah, Ray Porter, he plays Darkseid in the new Snyder Cut of Justice League.
Joe Rogan (0:42)
Oh, really?
Jack Carr (0:43)
For those people that have like four and a half, five hours on your hands to watch that, apparently it's incredible. And he's such a great guy.
Joe Rogan (0:48)
Is the new cut four and a half, five hours?
Jack Carr (0:50)
Something like that, at least four. Because I went to watch it because he's a friend of mine, so I went to watch it because I'm in the middle of all these interviews and doing stuff for the book launch and I saw how long it was. I'm like, all right, Ray, I'm going to watch this in a couple of weeks for you because it looks wonderful, but I just can't sit down for four hours.
Joe Rogan (1:04)
Well, supposedly Tarantino made a 20-hour cut of Once Upon a Time in Hollywood.
Jack Carr (1:08)
Oh, my gosh. People will watch it, too.
Joe Rogan (1:11)
Oh, fuck yeah, I'll watch it.
Jack Carr (1:13)
20 hours? If I sat down for like an hour and a half in my house and watched some old movie from the 80s or something like that, I can only imagine the looks I'll get from the rest of the family, like sitting there, having a beer, watching like, you know, First Blood or something that I enjoyed watching as a kid. Like, that's not happening. 20 hours?
That's rough.
Joe Rogan (1:29)
Well, you got, I think the move to do, if they wanted to do, is to release it, like on Netflix as a series.
Jack Carr (1:35)
Totally.
Joe Rogan (1:35)
That was, that's a great idea. Tarantino should, I don't know what his deal is in terms of like his financial situation, like how, you know, how they have, who has ownership or how it would do it, but if they could sell it to Netflix or HBO Max or whatever and just put it as a series.
Jack Carr (1:50)
Oh, totally.
Yeah, people will tune in. It'll be a big thing. It'll probably be the only time a 20-hour movie was ever made into, you know, 20 different episodes to make a season.
Joe Rogan (2:01)
Right, and then you could compare it to the, I saw the first one, the first cut rather, with Chappelle, Dave Chappelle, Don Aile Rawlings and all the other people that opened up for Dave and Ian Edwards.
We were in a movie theater. Dave rented out an entire movie theater.
So we did a show. We did this arena show in Tacoma, at the Tacoma Dome. This 25,000 seat show, it was fucking bananas. And then afterwards, we all went out and went to this movie theater. And they had rented out the entire theater for just us.
Jack Carr (2:33)
That's perfect.
Joe Rogan (2:34)
So we're just lounging this movie theater, watching that movie at like, it was probably like two o'clock in the morning or something crazy.
Jack Carr (2:39)
Yeah, that's the way to do it. I think it's one of the last movies I saw in the theater before COVID hit. Because with kids, we just don't get out that often anyway.
But that was one of the last ones that we sat down and actually had that experience. But it was great, especially The Ant. I love the end of that movie. It was so crazy.
Joe Rogan (2:54)
It's a great movie.
Jack Carr (2:55)
Yeah.
Joe Rogan (2:55)
It's a really fun movie.
Jack Carr (2:56)
Flamethrower at the end. It's fantastic.
Joe Rogan (2:58)
The thing about movies is if you go to the movies, you have to trust that your fellow humans are not gonna be retarded. I know, it's tough.
You gotta trust that they're not gonna look at their phones. You gotta trust that they're not gonna like, talk to each other, be loud or be, people are so goofy.
Jack Carr (3:15)
The home theater is the way to go.
That's the, if things continue on this track, we're having a home theater. And I get nervous now, of course, you know, there's probably, you know, the chances of something happening are so slim, but I get in there, you know, I look where the exits are. Okay, if something goes off in here, if there's a fire or a bomb or something like that, okay, we're gonna move down this aisle, put your hand on the wall and move down so you can find that exit rather than just like chaos. So I identify those things, I talk to the kids about that stuff, and then I'm ready. So if someone strange walks in, like I'm like, mm-hmm.
