Hello, eccentric character known as Tom Green.

SPEAKER_2 (0:17)

Joe, how are you?

Tom Green (0:18)

You're the wild man living in a van now.

SPEAKER_2 (0:21)

Oh yeah, oh yeah.

Tom Green (0:22)

You are that eccentric character. You go from being a television and movie star, to being a wild man traveling the land with your vagabond dog that you got from another country.

She's a rescue from the Bahamas?

SPEAKER_2 (0:35)

Yeah, Charlie, yeah, she's a rescue from the Bahamas.

Tom Green (0:37)

She's goddamn adorable, by the way. I love her.

SPEAKER_2 (0:39)

Yeah, she's beautiful.

Tom Green (0:40)

I'll show you.

You are this eccentric character now. Look at you.

SPEAKER_2 (0:44)

I guess so. I feel like maybe, I feel like in some ways, what I'm doing right now is the most normal thing I've done in my life, but it is actually kind of crazy too.

Tom Green (0:51)

It's crazy compared to people, but I think it fits you like a glove. I really do.

SPEAKER_2 (0:56)

Yeah. Well, you know, I like going out into the wilderness. I always have.

And I've been out in this van that I just got, which is amazing, and I'm going pretty hard with it.

Tom Green (1:07)

Is this the first time you've been tested since you got tested the last time on my show?

SPEAKER_2 (1:11)

I got tested one time between, but that's another interesting story. Let's hear it.

Well, my ex-wife asked me to come on her talk show, and I hadn't talked to her in 15 years. Drew? Drew, yeah.

Tom Green (1:25)

Was that a trap?

SPEAKER_2 (1:27)

It was nice. Did you get nervous? It was nice. We had a good time.

Tom Green (1:30)

That's cool.

SPEAKER_2 (1:32)

But I had to get tested to do the show. But it was interesting, because it was a very interesting thing, because we hadn't talked in 15 years.

Tom Green (1:40)

At all?

SPEAKER_2 (1:41)

At all.

And then all of a sudden, I got a call from her and said, you want to come on the new show? And her new show is really pretty wacky. She's getting really kind of...

Tom Green (1:52)

I like how you put your hands out for wacky.

SPEAKER_2 (1:54)

Oh, yeah. Like she's definitely pushing it in a very sort of...

I mean, I'm enjoying the show. It's very funny what she's doing. Very, very, very over the top. Some of the things she does on there.

Tom Green (2:03)

That's representative of her as well?

SPEAKER_2 (2:06)

It reminds me a lot of her. Well, I mean, it is her, yeah, for sure.

Tom Green (2:10)

What she really is, like who she really is.

SPEAKER_2 (2:12)

I think so, yeah.

Tom Green (2:13)

As you get older, you tend to be able to figure out who you really are better. Like with you, like doing this van thing.

SPEAKER_2 (2:20)

No, I'm the guy living down by the river in the van, yeah.

Tom Green (2:22)

It makes sense to me. When you told me you were going to do that, I'm going to travel across the country and just drive around the van with my dog. I was like, I could see you enjoying that.

SPEAKER_2 (2:31)

Yeah. You know, it's a whole world, man. It's a whole world that I didn't even know about. Like I didn't know, in Canada, it's called Crown Land. Here it's called BLM Land, Bureau of Land Management Land. I'm sure you know all about that from hunting and going out into the wilderness.

I didn't really know about Bureau of Land Management Land, and there's certain apps that will show you all the fire roads, all the remote places that you can go and do dispersed camping, go boondocking, they're called.

Tom Green (3:01)

Does your van have off-road capabilities? Can you drive on rugged trails?

SPEAKER_2 (3:04)

Yeah, pretty good. I got like, it's not an off-road vehicle. It's a Ram Promaster 2500 It's, you know, a delivery truck that they convert into...

Tom Green (3:14)

A lot of people are doing that these days. My friend Tim Poole did that. He got a, I believe he got a Ram as well. His was a Ram, wasn't it, Jamie?

I think it's a Ram as well, and he did the same thing. He turned it into a bug-out van.

SPEAKER_2 (3:25)

So the Ram is wider than the Mercedes-Benz Sprinter van, which you see a lot of. It's wider, so I can actually sleep full, widthwise, the bed's widthwise at the back. But, you know, it just kind of happened pretty randomly. I saw this clip online of these guys in Arizona who convert the vans. I called them up. They were on Shark Tank. They're these guys. They're called Boho. This van's called Boho. They're really cool dudes.
