Tim Dillon, fresh off of a COVID test. How are you feeling, buddy? How's the nose?

Tim Dillon (0:04)

Feeling good. You know, when I go out with friends to restaurants in LA they, you know, everybody gets the gun, the temperature gun to your head, but you know what's fucked up? A lot of my friends, they don't do it, they do it to me.

And I'm like, I guess I'm the only one that looks sick, because they look at me and they go, get them, get them. And then I ask other people, I'm like, were you hit on the way in? They're like, no. So I'm like, yes, weird. It's like arbitrary, the way they do it.

I know.

Joe Rogan (0:30)

Maybe they think like you're a little bit overweight.

Tim Dillon (0:32)

Yeah.

Joe Rogan (0:33)

You could die.

Tim Dillon (0:33)

They're like, we don't want him dying at Boa Steakhouse in West Hollywood.

Joe Rogan (0:37)

Oh, you could eat outside.

Tim Dillon (0:38)

They don't want me falling on a TikToker.

Joe Rogan (0:40)

Boa is an outside place.

Tim Dillon (0:41)

Boa is all outside. You could eat there. All outside.

Joe Rogan (0:44)

Oh, yeah. Those outside places are, they're doing good.

Tim Dillon (0:47)

They're jammed.

Joe Rogan (0:48)

But the fucking inside places are doomed.

Tim Dillon (0:50)

They're doomed and they will not reopen. Many of them.

Joe Rogan (0:52)

A lot of them.

Tim Dillon (0:53)

Yeah. It's a big problem.

Joe Rogan (0:55)

Let me ask you this.

Tim Dillon (0:56)

Yeah.

Joe Rogan (0:56)

When do you think Los Angeles is going to open up, back up again?

Tim Dillon (1:00)

Next spring.

Joe Rogan (1:03)

Like April?

Tim Dillon (1:04)

Well, I mean, it depends what this second wave does, right? If there is a second wave, right? Do we get clobbered in the fall or do we? I mean, by the time LA reopens, it's going to be Terminator here.

Joe Rogan (1:17)

Don't you think that it's going to be Terminator after November, no matter what we do?

Tim Dillon (1:20)

Probably.

Joe Rogan (1:21)

I feel like with all of the fucking tension, like there was a story in Chicago, right? They thought it was a 15-year-old girl was shot by the police. It turned out to be a 20-year-old man, and he was shot, but he was still alive.

Tim Dillon (1:35)

How did they get that wrong?

Joe Rogan (1:37)

The fucking telephone game.

Tim Dillon (1:38)

Right.

Joe Rogan (1:39)

You know that game.

Tim Dillon (1:39)

Yeah.

Joe Rogan (1:40)

Doesn't work.

Tim Dillon (1:40)

It's crazy.

Joe Rogan (1:41)

So then everybody goes crazy and goes looting. So people are looking for an excuse to go crazy.

If Trump wins again.

Tim Dillon (1:47)

It's going to burn.

Joe Rogan (1:49)

Not only that, it's going to be the mail-in thing, right?

Tim Dillon (1:52)

Are they going to do that?

Joe Rogan (1:52)

It's going to take days, 100%.

Yeah. So it's going to take days. I mean, I assume they're going to have some polls open some places.

Tim Dillon (1:59)

And we're not going to know. We're not going to have an answer that night. No.

That's going to be a fun week of not knowing who the president is. Remember when it happened in 2000? No one cared. It was funny that we didn't have a president. Like there was all those SNL skits and everybody's making fun of it. There was no real unrest in 2000

But now we cannot handle the uncertainty of not knowing. We need to know that night.

Joe Rogan (2:24)

Yeah, the dangling Chad's thing. It was no big deal.

Tim Dillon (2:26)

It was funny.

Joe Rogan (2:27)

Everybody was wondering.

Tim Dillon (2:28)

Everybody was like, what are we doing? Laugh it off. We were all going, we don't need a president.

Joe Rogan (2:32)

Yeah, whatever.

Tim Dillon (2:33)

We were so much more emotionally healthy as a country at that moment than we are now. Yeah.

Joe Rogan (2:39)

This is funny, but it is true.

Tim Dillon (2:40)

Yeah, because we laughed. We go, yeah, who cares? They go, we're fine.

But now it's like.

Joe Rogan (2:47)

Chaos.

Tim Dillon (2:47)

And we need a break. We need a break.

Everybody can't be a political pundit. My aunt cannot be writing about trade on Facebook.

Joe Rogan (2:58)

I think we should just leave it all to Alyssa Milano.

Tim Dillon (3:01)

Yeah.

Joe Rogan (3:01)

I'm looking forward to her tweets in November. I'm just going to follow all that.

Tim Dillon (3:06)

Yeah, yeah. Well, she was like, she's got a podcast. We know that.
