You know what time it is. We watched all 16 preseason games from week two and they're delivering you the goods. Yes, you didn't have to sit through some excruciating performances to know what the meaningful information is for your fancy drafts. Hayden and I have you covered. We talk about every single team basically here. It's not just what happened on the field, also behind the scenes and in practice reports. And we read it all to get you prepared.
I mean, we talk through a ton of names here, including the Texans, backfield, obviously, Ashton Jeanty and Mike Washington Jr. and what Ja'Kobi Watson being the starter for the Browns means, and so much more. Stay tuned for this episode of Yahoo Fantasy Football with Josh and Hayden. Another important show for you today. We have at least a dozen rankings changes for you after week two of the preseason. We watch, yes, all 16 games like absolute sickos. But Hayden, I think just as importantly this week, a lot has happened off the NFL field and more so behind closed doors at practices and just away from facilities. Let's put it that way.
**Hayden Winks** (0:58)
Yep, all the way even to training trailer parks in weird parts of Ohio and everything. So yeah, we've watched a bunch of tape and depth chart changes and then all the injuries stuff. One of the craziest stories ever last night with the Jeanty stuff, of course.
**Josh Norris** (1:13)
Well, let's dive into that first because Las Vegas Raiders and second year running back, Ashton Jeanty was going at the one-two turn for many of you out there. And it was just about the craziest five hours in fantasy football Twitter that we've ever seen. So they practiced yesterday, the Raiders did, at their indoor facility.
The Raiders beats all in unison, made it sound like Ashton Jeanty dove for a Kirk Cousins pass, really struggled to get up by himself, couldn't put any weight on his leg, and trainers helped him off the field.
And then a prayer circle formed by other players. We've all been waiting for, again, hours and hours and hours, speculating that this could be a possible season ender. Then we get an Adam Schefter tweet saying that it's just a sprained ankle. So Hayden, right now, we have no timeline of when Ashton Jeanty is going to return to the field. But also, the term high ankle has not been used at this time. So let's use our fantasy football brains. How are you interpreting this Ashton Jeanty news in your draft right now?
**Hayden Winks** (2:10)
I would not take him until the very end of the third round. I have him in the tier with Travis Aitchin, Javonté Williams, Kyron Williams, Josh Jacobs. I think Josh Jacobs and Ashton Jeanty, I think pretty similar situations because you're probably projecting them to miss maybe... Or at least there's a threat of them missing time and maybe extensive time.
So I think those guys would be pretty similar to me. Then you get to that tier break where now you're talking about some of the wide receivers that we do really like, but they're just not providing the same amount of value at half PPR. So I do want to remind you, there are different degrees of ankle sprains.
You do have the Omarian Hampton. Oh, there's actually a small fracture. I'm going to miss 10 weeks. We've seen that with a couple of different guys before. High ankle sprains that need tightrope surgery. Those can linger on for multiple months. I'm guessing this would have to be on this more severe side of ankle sprains given the reports. They stopped the music practice over this.
**Josh Norris** (3:05)
They stopped the music.
**Hayden Winks** (3:06)
Yeah. I think we should be reading into that. He couldn't put weight on it. I busted my ankle plenty of times. It sucks and it takes a long time.
I think if I was the Raiders, could he be on IR? Is he what you got with Mike Washington and slowplayed this? We're talking about the Raiders in 2026 We don't have a Super Bowl aspiration. So my baseline assumption is he's going to miss three to four games.
Wow. Okay.
**Josh Norris** (3:29)
This is like strategy corner baked into what we already thought of Ashton Jeanty on the Las Vegas Raiders, baked into hopefully we get more information as the week and the days go on. But if you're drafting today, I guess utilize this news. This is really a fancy football perfect storm of unknowns here. To me, this just means I'm not going to end up with Ashton Jeanty this year because already I was well below market on where Ashton Jeanty was going at that one-two turn. I was simply not selecting him over the likes of Saquon Barkley, Chase Brown, Ken Mark III. I could keep going on and on through that list.
