I'm here to name names, okay? Two bankers were in the know about what was coming, what was going to happen. One of them was Maurice Greenberg, who was the head of OIG, the CEO of AIG, largest insurance company in the country, that later got the largest bailout in US history. In 1994 and five, he was the chairman of the Federal Reserve Bank of New York. He had been on the board for many years. In 1993, a private security firm named Kroll Associates had gone bankrupt.

He bailed them out and acquired that company. Soon after the first World Trade Center bombing in 1993, Kroll Associates got the contract from the Port Authority to upgrade security at the Twin Towers and held the contract until the day of the attack.

But beneath that story lies another landscape entirely. Strange financial trades, military exercises unfolding as the attacks began, questions about the flying abilities of the hijackers, classified aviation technology, an airborne command plane circling Washington, and trails of money disappearing into the shadowy world of black budgets and covert operations. Mark H. Gaffney has spent years exploring that darker terrain. He's an author, researcher, and environmentalist whose books include The 9-11 Mystery Plane and The Vanishing of America, with a foreword written by the late Dr. David Ray Griffin and Black 9-11, Money, Motive and Technology. And Gaffney asks a disturbing question. What if the hijackers were themselves hijacked? Great to have you here. So if we strip away everything we think we know about September 11th, what would you offer up as the single piece of evidence that first convinced you the official report was incomplete?

Mark H. Gaffney (3:44)

The first paper that I did about 9-11 was a critique of the NIST report. And that was published in I think late 2005, early 2006

And I spent weeks with the NIST report, in many volumes, going through it, just pouring over it. And the more I learned, the more convinced I was, I became that the buildings had been demolished. And sure enough, we've had so much evidence since then to confirm that. I would say that by 2006, 2007, there was overwhelming evidence the buildings had been demolished with explosives. So the conclusion that building fires and plane impacts were responsible for the collapses is wrong. It's just propaganda. That's a made up story.

And the fact that the buildings were demolished has some very troublesome implications, because it means that the Jihadists were not responsible for those collapses. So, you know, whether they were real hijackers, and I think they were, you know, they were not responsible for bringing the buildings down. So they could not have gained access, security access to the towers. So we have to look elsewhere. And this is powerful evidence that it was an inside job.

In fact, I think it's the title of one of the chapters, were the hijackers hijacked? And you kind of alluded to that earlier. But what exactly do you mean were they hijacked?
