Ghosts, aliens, skin walkers. What do you believe? Well, brace yourself for unexplained encounters. The podcast where people from around the world share their most bizarre and terrifying experiences with us. And I narrate them to you. From alleged sightings of werewolves.
Two demonic entities in the dark shadows of the room. We're not asking you to decide what to believe in, rather decide what you fear.

After I started drawing some of these entities, I started having them come to me and say, would you do me, do me, do me.
And so I started drawing, you know, a lot of different entities from the barn and that I'd seen around my travels. I travel a lot of the same time. And I had one come to me who was not, I mean, it really dripped with darkness and malintent. And it was, but not towards me. It was just wanting to know if I would draw it too. And so my agreement with it was, you have to mind your manners or we will stop everything and you will have to leave. I will send you packing.

Richard Syrett's Strange Planet, following the truth wherever it leads, exposing evil and corruption and the secret machinations of powerful elites, revealing the highest strangeness beneath the surface of our supposed reality, coming to you from the great white north and his studio beneath the stairs. Here's Richard.

**Richard Syrett** (2:29)
Hey there, welcome to Strange Planet. For centuries, people have whispered about fairies, banshees, forest spirits, shadow beings and dark entities lurking just beyond the edge of our perception. Most dismiss them as folklore, children's stories, relics of a superstitious past. My mother-in-law saw a fairy the night before she unexpectedly passed away. But what if they're real?
My guest has spent more than 25 years as an award-winning special effects artist in film and theater, a profession built on creating convincing illusions. Yet, she insists the most extraordinary things she's ever witnessed weren't created in a studio, they happened in the real world. Through a remarkable series of encounters chronicled in her book, The Adventures of a Sketch Diary, Colleen Coffman claims she documented a hidden realm inhabited by beings both beautiful and deeply unsettling. But perhaps the most chilling story of all involves what she described as an actual agreement with a dark entity, an arrangement that began with a simple request, draw me.
Why would an unseen intelligence want its portrait captured? What happens when an artist agrees? And could creativity itself become a doorway into something ancient, intelligent and possibly dangerous? Tonight, we'll explore the strange intersection of art, folklore, the supernatural and the unseen world as we welcome artist, paranormal experiencer and author Colleen Coffman to Strange Planet.
Colleen, welcome. How are you?

**Colleen Coffman** (4:07)
Thank you. Thank you very much. What a great intro.

**Richard Syrett** (4:11)
I have to begin by asking you about this property which you refer to as the barn. How long has it been in the family? Where is it? Describe it.

**Colleen Coffman** (4:20)
So it was never in our family. It was a piece of property that my ex-husband took care of for an older couple. It was about 54 acres and it was located on the south side of Kansas City, Missouri in a place called Grandview, Missouri.

**Richard Syrett** (4:36)
All right. Just kind of describe, I don't know, the terrain.
And what does it feel like when you walk the property?

**Colleen Coffman** (4:43)
Oh, it's a beautiful piece of property. It's primarily a pasture.
It has a pond on it. It had a couple of barns on it. One was a big old coal barn, about 100 foot coal barn. And the other one was a little more like a tack shack for horses and such. We built a stone pit there and we used to go out there with our family and do a lot of cookouts and campouts and all of those good kinds of things.
