Alright, let me tell you about something I've been living and breathing for a long time now. If you've ever listened to my podcast, The Rock and Roll Twilight Zone, you know I've always believed there's more going on in rock history than chart positions and gold records. There are shadows, patterns, strange turns of fate that don't quite add up. Well now, I've pulled it all together in my new book, Tales from the Rock and Roll Twilight Zone, Eerie Enigmas and Supernatural Secrets from Rock's Darkest Corners. This isn't just a music book, it's a journey into the unexplained, mysterious deaths, whispered conspiracies, cursed chords, and moments where the veil between this world and something else feels paper thin. It's based on years of research and conversations from the podcast, but expanded, deepened, and taken further than I've ever gone before. The book publishes July 9th, 2026, but you can pre-order right now at Amazon, Barnes & Noble, or directly from my publisher, TRINE Day. For all the details, just head over to therockandrolltwilightzone.com.
If you love rock and roll and you suspect the story didn't end when the music stopped, this book is for you.

Hey, sweetie, your mother showed me this Carvana thing for selling the car. I'm going to give it a try. Wish me luck. Me again. I put in the license plate. It gave me an offer. Unbelievable. Okay. I accepted the offer. They're picking it up Tuesday from the driveway. I haven't even left my chair.
It's done. The car is gone. I'm holding a check. Anyway, Carvana, give it a whirl. Love you.

Welcome to Strange Planet. What you're about to hear is a special sneak preview of something normally reserved exclusively for my premium subscribers. One of the projects I'm currently producing for the Strange Planet premium community is a series called The Forgotten Files of Project Blue Book. It's a deep dive into some of the most fascinating, mysterious, and often overlooked UFO cases investigated by the United States Air Force during the Cold War. For those unfamiliar, Project Blue Book was the US. Air Force's official UFO investigation program, operating from 1952 until 1969, under various names, Project Sign, Project Grudge, and finally Project Blue Book. Over the course of nearly two decades, investigators examined more than 12,000 reports of unidentified flying objects. While many cases were eventually explained, hundreds remained unresolved, raising questions that continue to intrigue researchers and the public to this day. Normally, episodes of The Forgotten Files of Project Blue Book are available only to premium subscribers, but I thought I'd pull back the curtain and give everyone a taste of what you've been missing. As a Strange Planet premium subscriber, you'll enjoy commercial-free listening and up to two exclusive bonus episodes every month, including special series like The Forgotten Files of Project Blue Book. Joining is easy, just visit StrangePlanet.SupportingCast.fm, choose the plan that's right for you and start listening today. Again, that's StrangePlanet.SupportingCast.fm.
Now, sit back and enjoy this sneak preview of The Forgotten Files of Project Blue Book. And if you like what you hear, I hope you'll consider becoming a premium subscriber and joining us for the full journey.
March 1966 Southern Michigan was already on edge. For days, strange lights had been appearing over marshes, back roads, and frozen fields near Dexter and Ann Arbor. Police officers, farmers, students, and entire families were calling authorities to report glowing objects hovering silently in the night sky. Then, it spread to Hillsdale College.
What began as a few students glancing out the windows of McIntyre Residence Hall turned into something far stranger. Over the next several hours, nearly 90 witnesses watched luminous objects hovering beyond the campus arboretum, pulsing red, white, and blue, green over the trees while police officers, civil defense officials, and Project Blue Book investigators scrambled for answers.
The explanation the United States Air Force eventually offered would become one of the most infamous phrases in UFO history.
Swamp gas.
Tonight, we revisit one of the largest mass sightings ever investigated by Project Blue Book, a case that helped destroy public trust in the Air Force UFO program and pushed America's UFO debate straight into Congress. This is The Forgotten Files of Project Blue Book, The Hillsdale Mass Sighting, next on Strange Planet.
