My brother, good to see you, as always.
Eddie Bravo (0:04)
Always good to see you, man.
Joe Rogan (0:05)
Thanks for jumping in this short notice. For the folks who don't know, I was supposed to have Kevin Leigh on today, but Kevin and I, we fucked up. It was partially my fuck up, partially his fuck up. But he'll be on on Wednesday. Eddie Bravo was in the neighborhood, getting pumped, my friend.
Getting solid, you've been lifting the weights. How steady are you lifting now?
Eddie Bravo (0:27)
I try to get three days a week, but shit gets crazy sometimes and I can only get two.
Joe Rogan (0:32)
Dude, if I stop for just a couple weeks, I start at 51, you start getting so weak. Even on TRT, everything starts slipping.
Your body's like, no, we don't need to be lifting that shit.
Eddie Bravo (0:44)
I'm sore as fuck. I've been rolling with little people the last few months.
Joe Rogan (0:48)
Like what kind of little people? Hobbits?
Eddie Bravo (0:52)
I wish, shit, fuck them up.
Joe Rogan (0:54)
Do you think so? I think Hobbits would be extraordinarily strong. The hairy feet? They'd probably have a lot of like some kind of, no man, I bet their feet are fucking so strong. You can never foot lock a Hobbit.
Eddie Bravo (1:03)
Dude, have you seen the size of their heels?
Joe Rogan (1:05)
They have giant heels, but I bet their ligaments and shit are different.
I bet. Yeah, you know, that's weird because they're all barefoot. This is weird about the Hobbits, right? They're barefoot, they got furry ass feet. They have giant feet because, you know, obviously they had to wear those feet over the shoes. But even in the books, they said they had big, hairy feet.
Eddie Bravo (1:27)
Look at those feet.
Joe Rogan (1:27)
Even in the books. Yeah.
Eddie Bravo (1:29)
I toe-hold the shit out of that. Easy toe-hold right there.
Joe Rogan (1:32)
Maybe, maybe.
My thinking is if their feet are that hairy, they got, oh, Jesus Christ, what happened to that lady? Don't do this to me, Jamie. This is a podcast.
Eddie Bravo (1:40)
Is that a person?
Joe Rogan (1:41)
That's a gout through. Someone's got it. It was like, gout, inflammation. No, man, that's real. Did you think that was a Hobbit picture?
Oh, that's hilarious.
Oh my God, Google Image got you again. Isn't that Elephant Titus? That's an algorithm. That's the Russians. They're trying to fuck with this show. No, what that is is bunions, first of all. That's a painful thing that happens to your big toe. Some of it's genetic, and some of it is putting your toes into pointed shoes for long periods of time. People who have to go to work, like ladies in particular, they wear super uncomfortable shoes. It's smushed their toes up like that.
Your toes aren't supposed to be like that.
Eddie Bravo (2:15)
I've seen this thing on Instagram where they could fix that now, like rubber bands.
Joe Rogan (2:19)
Yes. You think that's real? Well, they have yoga toes. There's some shit that you use that you shove your feet in between these like styrofoam things and it stretches them out. Apparently, that's supposed to be good for them.
Vibram shoes is good. They still make those? I run in those.
Eddie Bravo (2:35)
Didn't they get sued or something?
Joe Rogan (2:36)
They did get sued.
Eddie Bravo (2:37)
Propaganda?
Joe Rogan (2:38)
By a bunch of pussies.
Eddie Bravo (2:39)
Really?
Joe Rogan (2:39)
Yeah, a bunch of people.
Eddie Bravo (2:41)
You know, I used to wear them too.
Joe Rogan (2:42)
Yeah, look man, they're harder to run in. No bullshit.
Eddie Bravo (2:46)
They feel good though. I like them.
Joe Rogan (2:47)
I like them. They make you grip the ground.
Eddie Bravo (2:49)
All that shit came out that they were like a fraud.
Joe Rogan (2:52)
That's not what it is. I think they had made improper claims. If I'm not correct.
I mean, if I'm not correct, if I'm correct, if my information is correct, I think they made improper claims. I think that was what the word was. The word was that they had said some shit and that people had gotten injured. Like they said it would keep you from getting injured.
It's all based on this idea that you're supposed to run barefoot.
Eddie Bravo (3:16)
Yeah, they said Mexicans run barefoot. Yeah, Mexicans were like, fuck you, we got shoes.
Joe Rogan (3:21)
But those guys up in the mountains that they're talking about in that book Born to Run, I feel like they have, some of them made their own shoes with like tires. Like they cut tires and made their own shoes and they're running like a hundred miles up there. Something crazy like that. Like they have insane endurance and they live up in that mountain and they just run around.
