130+ Training Camp Storylines, All 32 Teams: The Full Fantasy Football Breakdown

We've got another week of training camps in the books, and Jeff Bell and I today have over 100 storylines that we are going to cover, looking at every single NFL team, going through all of the bullet points for every single fantasy relevant player. So Jeff, just like last week, no introduction, no small talk. Let's get right into it. Alphabetically, working through this list, we are going to start with the Arizona Cardinals. Jacoby Brissett reached a restructured deal with $15.5 million in base compensation, expected to start week one. No major surprises there. Trey McBride has been Arizona's best player throughout camp and has built a strong connection with Jacoby Brissett. Also, no major surprise there. Tyler Algier will have a meaningful role in the backfield as the coaching staff prioritizes distributing carries to keep runners fresh across 17 games. Definitely something to discuss there and we'll come back to that. Final bullet point though, Michael Wilson and Marvin Harrison Jr. are battling for the wide receiver one designation, which will floor defines as the first progression on a given play. So Jacoby Brissett, we know he's back there. That's kind of old news at this point. Trey McBride, we know that he's the best player there. You want to talk about that for a quick second though. Let's hear some thoughts on Trey McBride.

Well, Trey McBride, I just think it's interesting because we got Jacoby Brissett back, the thing we were waiting to see. And I've seen Trey McBride's ADP sliding, trapping even further into the middle of the third round. He was locked in early second round way back when the offseason began. And now we're just slipping, slipping, slipping as Colson Lovell kind of moves up as a major separation happens with Brock Bowers.

Yeah, and that's, I think, good to talk about because he is starting to fall a little bit in drafts. And, you know, I do think Brock Bowers is the tight end one. I'm drafting him that way. But Trey McBride just did it last year, and I think that you can still get some really good value there. Now, Tyler Algier having a meaningful role in the backfield, I think that's very important because I think a lot of people expect that Jeremiah Love is just going to come in with that top three draft capital and run away with the backfield. But they made a meaningful investment in Tyler Algier. They also have James Connor expected to come back at some point from an ACL injury here. So do you think that, like, it would be prudent for the Cardinals, who probably aren't going to win all that much this year to run the wheels off Jeremiah Love or do you think this is kind of like an acclamation year? And then once they get some better pieces to run in next year, then they can really open up the workload.

Well, did Tyler Algier have a meaningful role with the Atlanta Falcons last year, last couple of years?

He did.

And where did Bijan Robinson finish in fantasy last couple of years?

Very highly. Do you think Jeremiah Love is as good as Bijan Robinson? And two, do you think the Cardinals are as good as the Falcons?

**Jeff Bell** (2:44)
I mean, he was drafted earlier than Bijan Robinson, but I don't know that he's necessarily as good.
But I think it's not a death kneel to any level, Jeremiah Love. And I think what you're going to see is hyper consolidated targets between these two wide receivers, Michael Wilson, Marvin Harrison Jr. Jeremiah Love being a lot more involved in the passing game than the running backs were last year. Really, they didn't involve running backs that much in the passing game. And then Trey McBride still does his thing. Really nothing else outside of that would be my expectation on what we see here. And I think that there's still fantasy goodness. I still think that what we're going to see from the Cardinals, I think Mike LaFleur, high level play caller, we saw last year, this was the team, they weren't even trying to play winning football. They were just trying to put numbers up on the scoreboard. I expect kind of something similar there. I don't think this defense is going to do much of anything. I think they're going to try to win shootouts every week. I think there's plenty here for fantasy.

Yeah, I mean, I saw last year that Injikobu Prasad starts, if you extrapolated that over a full 17 game season, he would have been pacing for 685 pass attempts. He would have been 4th most in NFL history. So we saw there was a lot of volume last year. I think my fear with this offense is just overall regression, that we're not going to see quite as many pass attempts, but we'll see how this shakes out. And I think that we talked about a little bit last week, like Jeremiah Love getting his through the air could still help him pay off at cost. So I don't have a really strong Jeremiah Love take. I think where he's going in the middle of round three, you know, kind of perfectly encapsulates his upside and his downside. I think you know what you're getting there. But let's talk about this wide receiver one battle.
