Remi (0:01)
Okay, Buggy, you can hit the timer, yeah.
Heath (0:03)
How did you come up with Buggy?
Remi (0:06)
Because I was on TikTok, and I was watching clips of Bugs Bunny and Lola, and I was like, wait, she saw me, he saw him, and then I started calling him Bugs, and then it turned into Bugs or Buggy now. I love the origin of a nickname.
Heath (0:20)
I like it.
Remi (0:21)
It's cute. How did you guys get Bubba?
Heath (0:23)
I don't know, Mariah, I just started calling me Bubba, like early on, and then I obviously just started saying it back.
Remi (0:31)
Yeah.
Heath (0:33)
And then it kind of just stuck, but I would never, like I can't do the, like if we're in like a grocery, I can't be like, babe, baby.
Remi (0:43)
Yeah, really?
Heath (0:45)
Like it just, it feels like that just, it doesn't naturally come out to me. But then also like if we're in public, like I don't, I'd like never say Mariah. Like I just say, so if we're out in public, I'll be like, bubba.
Like I'll try to.
Zane (1:04)
She's your side piece.
Zane (1:05)
Yeah.
Heath (1:06)
It just sounds so weird.
Zane (1:08)
Wait, that's so funny.
Zane (1:09)
You don't want people thinking that her name is bubba either. You know what I mean?
Remi (1:12)
Also, you guys both have names that don't, you can't really shorten as a nickname. Like you can't really shorten Heath as a nickname, or Mariah as a nickname. So you guys are just stuck with the full names, like a pet name.
Zane (1:23)
Yeah. I call my mom, mom.
Zane (1:26)
Stupid.
Remi (1:28)
Trying to make it about you. What do you guys call each other? Do you guys have any pet names?
Alisha (1:32)
The one you actually-
Zane (1:33)
Pretty, Alisha I think is like the really the main one.
Alisha (1:35)
Well, sometimes it's Alisha Loesch.
Remi (1:39)
I've never gotten, never said Loesch. Leesch.
Zane (1:42)
Leesch.
Remi (1:42)
I've heard you say Leeshe.
Zane (1:44)
Or if, well, I always repeat it. I hear it first and then I repeat it immediately.
Remi (1:50)
Leeshe. I love Leeshe.
Zane (1:52)
I'll call Mariah Mariahs.
Heath (1:54)
Mariahs.
Remi (1:55)
Hey, Mariahs. That's true. Mariahs.
Heath (1:58)
What is, what do you call Rosy, Rorica?
Alisha (2:02)
Rorica.
Heath (2:03)
Is that what you say for Rosy?
Alisha (2:05)
Yeah, but Remi made that one.
Remi (2:06)
No, Ollie made that one because it's Momica Dodica Lolica.
Zane (2:09)
Oh, I thought it was like you like the word Eureka and you just like decided to mix Rosy's name into it.
Remi (2:14)
I just love when a nickname just like also takes, snowballs into something completely different.
Heath (2:19)
I just call you weirder and weirder.
Zane (2:23)
I think I've been calling you Remi much more.
Remi (2:26)
Yeah, and I love that.
Zane (2:27)
Where did I get that from? Who says Remi?
Remi (2:30)
Everybody says Remi.
Zane (2:31)
Everybody says Remi?
Remi (2:32)
Yeah.
Alisha (2:32)
I love a nickname.
Remi (2:33)
But I feel very strongly, I've said this about specifically Remi, but I mean pet names, I guess you really do need to have that banter with someone. But when people call me Remi, but I don't know them, that really bothers me.
Zane (2:48)
That's performative because they're like, oh, that's how you get close to her.
Remi (2:51)
That are just like they feel closer than we are, and I'm always like, in my mind, I don't actually do that.
Zane (2:56)
In order for you to do that, you have to be hearing it all the time. If you're hearing all the time, that means we're close.
Remi (3:00)
If you call me Remi within the first few months of us knowing each other, I'd be like, but now that we are so close, when you call me Remi, I'm like, oh, it's a term of endearment.
Heath (3:09)
It's because we're close.
Zane (3:10)
You can tell it wasn't forcefully said, it just came out naturally.
Remi (3:14)
Yes, yes.
Zane (3:15)
Because it just hit me now that I do call you that, but I never mean that.
Alisha (3:19)
But I think it's when you hang out with someone so much and you just get lazy, like Rem, Remi, it's too much work.
Zane (3:25)
Or maybe because Rem's sleep, it's calming.
Remi (3:29)
Rem.
Heath (3:30)
Do you have any weird nicknames for your dogs that just make no sense? Or not a nickname, just what you call them sometimes?
