Boom, and we're live! Hello, Kyle.
Kyle Kulinski (0:05)
Hello, Joe Rogan.
Joe Rogan (0:05)
How are you doing? You look very good there in a suit.
Kyle Kulinski (0:07)
Thank you. You know, I like to pretend that I'm a serious human being by wearing this, but I'm just a dick.
Joe Rogan (0:11)
Well, you're a youngish fellow, so maybe a suit would give you more of an air of composure, or authority, perhaps.
Kyle Kulinski (0:20)
That's the idea. If you look like you're really serious, then people assume you're serious, and they don't know that I'm making dick jokes.
Joe Rogan (0:26)
Exactly. That's a good move. That's a very smart move. I've actually had some suits made. I had to do this function for one of my kids' schools, and I had to go to this function. We had to wear nice clothes. It's like a dress-up thing. And I don't really have nice clothes.
Nothing that, like, fits.
And so I had to have something made. So now I've been wearing it when I go on special dates with Mrs. Rogan.
Kyle Kulinski (0:48)
So it's like, it's a suit like this?
Joe Rogan (0:50)
It's a nice suit jacket and tailored. The whole deal. It fits me.
Kyle Kulinski (0:53)
And how do you feel when you put it on? Do you feel like, oh, I'm an official now?
Joe Rogan (0:56)
I'm a serious person. I feel like a serious person.
If I dress like this, with a hoodie and a T-shirt, I feel like a schlub. I feel like a dork. Like I am.
Kyle Kulinski (1:06)
There's this thing that I do where, especially when I'm doing my show, oftentimes you do that half-assed move where I look like this, but then I might have basketball shorts on or I might have sweatpants.
Joe Rogan (1:17)
Do you do that?
Kyle Kulinski (1:17)
Sometimes, yeah, sure. It all depends on what mood I'm in. I mean, sometimes I'll do the whole thing and look nice, but usually I'm just being lazy and being a professional.
Joe Rogan (1:26)
Well, Guy Ritchie was on the podcast and he made a very good statement in defense of the suit.
It was a really interesting sort of testimony in defense of the suit in the pocket square. He's a big believer of the pocket square, which I think is preposterous.
Kyle Kulinski (1:42)
Yeah, it's a little too far.
Joe Rogan (1:42)
I think it's too far. I'm with you.
Kyle Kulinski (1:44)
But it doesn't go out of style. That's the thing, is like, if you look at a picture of somebody from like 1906 and you look at a picture of somebody from 2018 and they're wearing a suit, you go, oh, okay, but then other aspects of style and fashion change so fast. I mean, you look at, remember the, I think they were called Jankos, like the really baggy jeans that people wore?
Joe Rogan (2:04)
Oh yeah, like Cavariccis.
Kyle Kulinski (2:07)
I don't know what that is. Is that Jankos?
Joe Rogan (2:08)
Cavariccis was something that we used to wear. I'm dating myself. This is like in the early 90s, late 80s, early 90s.
It was like they were tight to like your pelvic region, and then they would flare up when they got past the hips.
Kyle Kulinski (2:25)
Like MC Hammer pants?
Joe Rogan (2:29)
So terrible. Yeah, but those didn't really make it, right? But they did make it in the gym. Like if you go to the gym, there's still guys who wear these kind of sweatpants.
Kyle Kulinski (2:39)
That's right.
Joe Rogan (2:40)
That are like these kind of puffy sweatpants.
Kyle Kulinski (2:42)
And they're usually juiced out of their minds, right?
SPEAKER_4 (2:44)
These are the workout clothes everybody wears.
Joe Rogan (2:46)
They probably wear those pants because there it is. There's Cavariccis.
Kyle Kulinski (2:49)
Oh my god.
Joe Rogan (2:50)
I used to wear those. Try to get laid.
Kyle Kulinski (2:52)
You wore those? That's the opposite of trying to get laid.
Joe Rogan (2:56)
Not in those days. Back in those days. Like people didn't know any better.
Kyle Kulinski (2:59)
Right. But that goes to my point. It's like powdered wigs. Exactly.
Joe Rogan (3:03)
Do you know where that came from?
Kyle Kulinski (3:05)
No.
Joe Rogan (3:05)
We found out on the podcast. It came from syphilis.
Yes. The whole wig thing came out of royalty. These royals had syphilis. What was the whole story? It was about the term big wig. Who were the people? Was it Dutch? Dutch kings? Who were the kings? See if you can find that story, because it's a fascinating story.
