Three, two, one. Happy New Year, Tom Papa!
Tom Papa (0:13)
Whee!
SPEAKER_3 (0:16)
See how happy you get.
Joe Rogan (0:18)
Thank you for the gift.
SPEAKER_3 (0:19)
You're welcome.
Joe Rogan (0:19)
I've always wanted one of these.
SPEAKER_3 (0:21)
It's amazing.
Joe Rogan (0:22)
Not really.
Jamie (0:22)
It is.
Joe Rogan (0:23)
I got two things that I really don't want today. One was herpes, no, one was yeezys.
Jamie (0:36)
You'll love them.
Joe Rogan (0:37)
Jamie thinks I'll love, he got me the wrong pair, and I said, take these back, these are yours, you keep them, and he came back and brought me the right size. He insists.
First he brought me the wrong size.
SPEAKER_3 (0:48)
What's wrong with them?
Joe Rogan (0:49)
They're fucking preposterous.
SPEAKER_3 (0:51)
Let me see them.
Joe Rogan (0:52)
Look at them, if you were Brendan Chob, they're the perfect thing because they're in. This looks like something from the 90s.
SPEAKER_3 (1:03)
Yeah.
Joe Rogan (1:05)
Like some kind of shoe from the 90s. Now, what level of outrage would there be if I started wearing these to run the mountains?
Jamie (1:12)
What if they were really comfortable and you liked them?
Joe Rogan (1:14)
Mm, is that what's going on? So you think that if I put them on, I would all of a sudden love them and I would get it.
SPEAKER_3 (1:21)
Those are street, maybe. Are those for the street?
Joe Rogan (1:24)
Does he have like a bird heel where you have like a extra hook in the back of the heel?
SPEAKER_3 (1:31)
Yeah.
Joe Rogan (1:31)
Like why does it go like a normal heel? Like here's a normal heel.
This like goes out at an angle.
Jamie (1:41)
This one does too.
Joe Rogan (1:42)
That does too.
Jamie (1:42)
It's the boost. It's the stylish shoe. It's the bottom. It's what part of the Adidas silhouette.
SPEAKER_3 (1:47)
Is it the style or is it the shape? Is it the style or is it the feel that you really like?
Jamie (1:53)
The feel.
Well, both, honestly, both. But these were really comfortable shoes. The boost is super comfortable.
Joe Rogan (1:58)
Is this a Adidas made shoe? Is that?
Oh, so Adidas makes the Yeezys?
Jamie (2:03)
Yeah, and there's just no Adidas logo on there, so it's hard to tell that.
SPEAKER_3 (2:06)
You're starting to like them. You're starting to warm up.
Joe Rogan (2:08)
Well, I weird how they have this like military style number thing on the side, like some fucking Korean missile. What is that?
Jamie (2:19)
I couldn't tell you what it stands for. I've seen it with multiple things. It could just be supply, or it could be an acronym for something.
SPEAKER_3 (2:25)
Yeah, they look like they're from the 90s.
Jamie (2:29)
Enjoy them.
Joe Rogan (2:31)
Why an accordion? Like what is, are you a monkey?
No, the guy who has the accordion, the monkey dancer.
SPEAKER_3 (2:37)
The monkey dancer. I love the sound of the accordion, and I just, I saw it, and I just wanted to bring something to the new studio. Like how you have a lot of weird shit here.
And this is weird, that somebody loved this sound so much that they decided, let's make an instrument out of it.
Joe Rogan (2:53)
Yeah, are there like real complicated ones of those? Like, do people play them in orchestras and shit?
SPEAKER_3 (3:00)
No, I don't think they ever made it into the orchestra.
Joe Rogan (3:03)
So it's never been like a really respected piece of musical instrument?
SPEAKER_3 (3:06)
Zydeco, New Orleans, Buckwheat Zydeco, you ever hear that guy?
Joe Rogan (3:10)
Sure, yeah.
SPEAKER_3 (3:11)
Yeah, like, wha wha wha wha wha Polka, a lot of Polish polka.
Joe Rogan (3:14)
Polka, Zamfear, Master of the Pan Flute.
SPEAKER_3 (3:17)
Of course.
Joe Rogan (3:18)
What happened to that poor bastard?
Like, he had a whole marketing team behind him. They're like, dude, no one's done this. No one's done this, but we're gonna do this. Master of the Pan Flute, DVDs, CDs, VHS tapes. We're gonna sell it all.
SPEAKER_3 (3:31)
There's literally no competition.
Joe Rogan (3:32)
There's nothing.
SPEAKER_3 (3:33)
You can do this.
Joe Rogan (3:34)
You're Zamfear. He's the Tony Hawk of the Pan Flute, right? Hey, here he is. Give me some volume on this guy.
SPEAKER_3 (3:59)
He looks like a guy that works on the deli.
Joe Rogan (4:01)
That is a very forgettable sound.
It's a recorder. It's for like one of the things you learn when you're in fourth grade and they teach you music. Yeah. That goofy flute-like thing. I never paid attention to the recorder because they gave me the recorder and I go, well, how come I don't see this in bands?
