How Long Gone, it's a hurricane season here in Charleston, South Carolina. The rain has let up this morning. I'm looking at the water.
The sun is streaming in through my window. My jeans is south of the border.
Jason Stewart (0:31)
Oh yeah, buddy. Hey, we're getting battered by the hurricanes over here in California, Califas, Cali, Mexico, but I've been able to dodge it.
Shout outs to all my homies in Orange County right now, dealing with some epic sets and some epic floods. All the breakfast burrito shocks are getting flooded out.
Chris Black (0:52)
Pray for the homies, pray for all.
Jason Stewart (0:53)
Pray for the homies, but yeah, we, I came into Mexico yesterday. Carolyn is here working on a job all week for beep, and I am just sort of, you know, I'm only like assisting her a little bit, just with day to day husbandry, but more or less I'm a free spirit as she's walking her. She's working all day, she's got long hours.
Chris Black (1:17)
I will see, let's see if those are-
Jason Stewart (1:19)
She's like, don't get too drunk and rent a city bike because they drive crazy here. And I was like, they're the ones they should worry, should be worried, not me.
Chris Black (1:28)
What's the Mexican city bike called? Make up a name right now. I feel like you'll have something-
Jason Stewart (1:31)
It's called, it has the word BO in it, I think.
Chris Black (1:35)
That's their local financial conglomerate that pays for the bikes to exist?
Jason Stewart (1:39)
No, I feel like anything virtuous is BO., like any healthy food, organic products, you know, like sustainability.
Chris Black (1:47)
Oh, I see, I see, I see.
Jason Stewart (1:48)
It always just says like BO., which is, I guess, just like bio, biological.
Chris Black (1:52)
Yeah, yeah, yeah, sure.
Jason Stewart (1:54)
Of the earth and the Holy Spirit and the whatever and the embodiment of Christ. But I think it's just like, it's like healthy for the neighborhood to have like a network, bicycle, rental system, you know. It's good for climate change or climata, as I like to call it here.
Chris Black (2:12)
Is it a docking station situation or is it more freewheel and lawn vibes?
Jason Stewart (2:17)
Okay. We got a docking here, my friends. And I know it's not called BO, but it's something like that. You know, it's a cute name.
But I had my eye, I saw a white guy trying to unlock it from the little docking thing and it was stuck and I was like, I feel like I'm back in SoHo.
Chris Black (2:34)
Hold on, hold on. You're telling me that you saw a white guy in Mexico City? Are you sure? And this wasn't your reflection?
This was a human being.
Jason Stewart (2:43)
The call is coming from inside the casa.
My white ass is walking around and Carolyn, I'm just like, I'm sorry about her. She's an American. So it's a nice little role reversal where I get to be the POC. You know what I'm saying? She's the colonizer.
Chris Black (3:02)
Yeah. That is a nice role reversal. Maybe that's one good reason to go to Mexico City. Okay. So how's the-
Jason Stewart (3:06)
As long as you are not super white. You know what I mean? Go to Mexico if you respect the language, food, cultures, practices, et cetera, et cetera. Don't go if you're like, what's the Wi-Fi at Joe and the Juice?
Chris Black (3:19)
Well, I think you're both based on what I know about your love for Joe. I am both. I'm first AF. You are first.
Jason Stewart (3:25)
I only made that joke because I was inside Joe and the Juice just one hour ago. I'm like, normally, I'm getting a coffee and a juice. I'm like, let me get that juice. But I have problems comprehending the names of vegetables and produce even though I am a foodie.
Chris Black (3:43)
You're saying that you're-
Jason Stewart (3:44)
I am a comedor. So I look at it, I'm like the regular Joe and the Juice, Juice where it's like, I don't know what it's called. This juice runs on vibes or whatever it is and then-
Chris Black (3:55)
It lists the ingredients.
Jason Stewart (3:56)
Normally, I'm like, oh, it's like orange pear, carrot, turmeric with a ginger shot blaster and whatever it is. And I'm looking at this thing and it's just like, I don't know what's in this juice. It could be regular, it could be trupical.
Chris Black (4:10)
But you're, you know, I wouldn't say fluent in Spanish would be too generous to you.
