We're going to do it, bitch. How long gone? Bonjour, monsoir. TJ.
I'm coming to you from Paris. I'm feeling a little fraud, but I'm actually getting pumped up now. Just hearing your voice does that. You know what I mean? It's ready, it makes me get in the zone.
Jason Stewart (0:35)
Slow down. If I had a dollar every time a mail told me that.
Chris Black (0:39)
It makes me get, I didn't say I'm on chub. I'm just saying get in the zone work wise. Okay, get your mind out of the gutter.
Jason Stewart (0:46)
I wish I could. It seems like it's stuck there.
Chris Black (0:50)
It seems like my mind.
Jason Stewart (0:52)
I've tried everything. Yeah, what's up? Yeah, sorry, I feel bad showing up late with a coffee, but I made it in the other room. I didn't stop.
Chris Black (1:02)
I was hoping.
Jason Stewart (1:02)
That blue bottle.
Chris Black (1:03)
I was hoping you were going to have the Feastables Liquid Death Peanut Butter Cup, 100% flavored sparkling water. But if that's not available, I guess coffee will do.
Jason Stewart (1:11)
Is that the Mr. Beast collab?
Chris Black (1:13)
That's right. Feastables, yeah, that's right. Mr. Beast got his little paws and everything.
Jason Stewart (1:18)
It's Liquid Death Peanut Butter Sparkling Water. Is that what you said?
Chris Black (1:22)
It's so crazy. It's so crazy. Yeah, it is. It's so like those words should never be spoken together, but alas, it looks like Mr. Beast has done it again.
Jason Stewart (1:32)
You talk a lot of shit on Liquid Death, but I would have thought they would have been above partnering with Mr. Beast, but I guess not.
Chris Black (1:41)
I don't think, I think when you see the Beast numbers, you kind of, some of your shareholders, might not allow you to say no to the Beast, is kind of the feeling I'm starting to get. I don't want to-
Jason Stewart (1:53)
I'd like to think that Liquid Death, they're so punk, they don't bend the knee to their shareholders.
Chris Black (2:01)
I think that faux punk branding, I think that is-
Jason Stewart (2:05)
I'm imagining three guys who motorcycle, kind of biker guys, grizzled, face tats, ex-cons.
Chris Black (2:15)
They ride motorcycles, but they're pristine triumphs where they have their Leica camera over their shoulder.
Jason Stewart (2:21)
Oh, they ride electric motorcycles in Malibu with Diplo's kids, and they have a really fun time.
Chris Black (2:26)
They're actually super fun, and I'm not really into tattoos. My mom didn't like that very much.
Jason Stewart (2:32)
With the young Chris Black, with his kind of, you know, his palate, that was maybe not what it is today. Is there a time, I know that you're a peanut butter cup enthusiast, you and Reese's have tangled many a time in your life, is there a time when you would have been interested in the flavor of a peanut butter cup flavored sparkling soda water from Feastables and Liquid Death?
Chris Black (2:57)
I mean, I don't think I had sparkling water until I was probably like 20 So I don't know if I, you know, I don't know.
Jason Stewart (3:03)
Broke shit.
Chris Black (3:05)
I don't lie, bitch. I know you didn't have, I know you didn't have it either.
Norma Kamali (3:10)
So don't. No, yeah, it's called Sprite.
Jason Stewart (3:13)
Sprite.
Chris Black (3:14)
Sprite. It tastes lemon lime.
Jason Stewart (3:15)
They have La Croix now, it's the same kind of vibe.
Chris Black (3:17)
That's true. I guess I did have a lot of Sprite if we're, if we're getting into that. No, I don't think I would have been tempted by the flavors of peanut butter, sparkling water. But I've, this is just one of those, are we running out of ideas situations where I feel like they could have come up with something more palatable, but maybe that wouldn't have got us talking the way this did. So, you know, good on them.
Jason Stewart (3:37)
Mr. Beast makes stuff for five year olds and under, so it makes sense that they would want to sell this and enough people are going to buy it. The can is dope. I'm happy for that. I mean, you know, Troye Sivan is making piss filled vinyl. Like where, is there much of a difference between the two things?
Not in terms of color and liquid viscosity?
Chris Black (3:57)
One, you don't have to drink, one, you do. That's the thing. So I feel like the peanut butter becomes more offensive where-
