A Club Fantasy Football Podcast
October 6, 2026

What is up? Welcome to WireTapped, Club Fantasy's weekly waiver wire show. We are heading into week five in the NFL. And as if weeks and weeks and weeks of injuries were not enough, you get bi-weeks now.
And to make matters worse, it's two really good teams. I mean, I guess the Panthers aren't a good team, but man, are they giving us fantasy assets. So we are losing players that really matter, which is going to make waivers very interesting this week. Let's get into it.
Welcome to WireTapped Club Fantasy's Weekly Waiver Wire Show. Ryan Weiss in the host seat, Josh Hudson with me as always. Josh, another rough week for you as a Philadelphia Eagles fan.
Josh Hudson (1:05)
Dude, everybody keeps sharing, oh, well, last time we started two and two, we won the Super Bowl. This is not that team, folks.
Ryan Weiss (1:14)
Yeah, that's how that works.
Josh Hudson (1:15)
It's just not that team. This offensive line is straight up dogshit. It's bad.
It's so bad.
Ryan Weiss (1:24)
I think what's interesting to me, Josh, is I'm kind of perusing the standings right now.
It doesn't feel like there's a lot of good teams in the NFL. The Chiefs are four and O.
Josh Hudson (1:37)
It's lucky teams. I was going to say, Chiefs are four and O. And it's literally the same thing in fantasy football. Like, I'm seeing so many star players that are missing time, that are currently out. Maybe it's only a couple of weeks.
But like, you see some of these stacked teams that they're scoring 160 in some weeks, 120 some weeks, and then 80 the next week. And it's just like, what the hell? Like, what is going on? And it's literally because one player misses two weeks.
Ryan Weiss (2:05)
Or it's because you get cued and think Bryson Tremaine is going to be the sleeper of the week. And you start him in way too many leagues and look like an asshole. This guy.
Josh Hudson (2:14)
Well, yeah, and then Meche comes out and starts looking the part in the first half.
Ryan Weiss (2:18)
And Joe Zolo, who reminded us John Meche.
Josh Hudson (2:21)
So yeah, there's a lot of ass backwards things, but you know, it is what it is. That's why I play this game that makes us pull our hair out.
Ryan Weiss (2:31)
I'm going to start with two comments because I hope they played each other. I hope that this was the same league. But Keenan kicks us off with Happy Victory Tuesday. But that was immediately after Caesar was like, I needed 47 from Bichon in London and got 44
Josh Hudson (2:45)
That's a freaking heartbreak, man.
Ryan Weiss (2:47)
I like to imagine they played each other.
They did. But it's just funny to me. But hey, good morning, everybody. Thanks for jumping into the show. If you've never tuned in to an episode of WireTap before, welcome. We are going to break down waivers a little bit different than a lot of shows do. And I'm going to be perfectly honest with you. We spend most of the show answering your questions. So get those in the chat. We will answer those after every single segment. We do a top five. That is from my article that I put out on clubfantasyffl.com. Then we do the players that you're...
We're giving you permission to drop. It's okay to move on. We are then going to give you your kind of basic waivers, all the people we'd be looking for in 10 and 12 team leagues. And then finally, at the end of the show, deeper league waivers. How we do this is I put all of the list of names together and then Josh either agrees or disagrees with me. It's a really fun show. Thank you for tuning in. We do this every single Tuesday at 11 a.m. If you have not already hit that like button, hit that subscribe button, drop in the comments what your record is right now, because comments help the algorithm. We're happy to take all the help we can get. If you have not already hit that follow button on Apple or Spotify, we also have a free Discord. There's a link in the description of this video. Josh will drop it in the chat. And if you want to jump the line, this show usually runs about 90 minutes. We do our best. Every question will be answered, but I'm going to be very honest with you. We typically operate about 20 minutes behind on questions. It's just the way it goes. They come in very fast. If you throw us a super chat tip, we will let you jump the line. We'll answer your question later. We'll stop whatever we were doing and get into it.
