Welcome in to No Punt Intended, presented by Club Fantasy. It is our week six preview show. And I don't really love how the NFL season's going right now. We've had all these injuries. Last week, we got to dip our toe in the bi-week pool with two teams, but now we have four teams on bye, and they're actually really, really good offenses. There are a lot of decisions to be made. I have a feeling you folks are going to have a ton of questions, so why waste any more time on the intro? Let's get into it.
Welcome to No Punt Intended, presented by Club Fantasy Riot. We're back in the hot seat as Joe Solo is not able to make it tonight, but Josh Hudson was able to make it, though got in by the skin of your teeth. Filling everything out and getting ready for this show, Josh.
Josh Hudson (1:08)
It's been a long couple of days for me.
As most of our audience probably knows, I'm still recovering from my ankle injury and been on the go a lot the last couple of days. When you sit in a supine position nonstop for seven days a week and then you have to get up and move, you get exhausted very quickly.
Ryan (1:32)
I make jokes about my gout flare ups on this show all the time, Josh. I know exactly what you're talking about. When those put me out of commission for five days and then I try to do normal shit, I'm like, oh my God, what was I thinking?
Josh Hudson (1:43)
Yeah, it's a rough one. Oh my God. But hey, I'm here and that's what matters.
Ryan (1:49)
And that's what matters exactly as we kick into the Week 6 Preview. I'll start with all the housekeeping. Hit that like button. Hit that subscribe button. If you happen to be listening on Apple or Spotify, hit that follow button. We do have super chat. The show does get kind of bogged down with questions. We don't mind it, but you may not want to wait around. If you throw us a couple bucks, we will answer your question first. But if you've never tuned in to an episode of No Punt Intended, we will answer every single question. The show typically runs 60 to 90 minutes. We I cut us off at the 90 minute mark. Let me just be very clear. If you do have questions after the show, because Ryan cut you off at the 90 minute mark, make sure you hop in the Discord. There's a link in the description of this video. I'm sure Josh is dropping in the chat for you folks right now. Before we get into questions and me and Josh's favorite and least favorite plays of the week and my streams of the week and everything we're going to cover on the show, let's do a little bit of NFL news and notes. This is the Ryan version of news and notes, where I took Josh's advice and just looked at the tweets from the high-profile people that we follow and I copied and pasted them because it's easy and it's relevant. So these are the news and notes that I found relevant for today's show. Josh, Jackson Smith and Jigba has no injury designation heading into the Thursday night game. I was a little shocked to see that questionable tag next to his name. I didn't remember him picking up an injury, but apparently his Thursday was never in danger. Pat Sertan, however, is on the opposite end of that. He has already been ruled out for the Thursday night game against the Seahawks. So the Broncos will be down their best corner in that game.
Jeremiah Love's second ankle injury of the season has kept him out of practice today, and there is a chance he does not play this week against the Rams. So if you are relying on Jeremiah Love, you may need to have a secondary plan. Speaking of no practice today, Saquon Barkley, Devonta Smith, neither one practiced for the Eagles today. Marvin Harrison Jr. will make his debut in London this week for the Texans. I wasn't sure if they were gonna fly in out there and have that trip happen, but they are. He will play in that game. Quinchon Judkins did not practice today, and there is a real danger that he misses Sunday's game against the Ravens. AJ Brown was designated to return from the IR and was listed as a limited participant in today's practice. The Rams have officially signed Blake Groupie from New York Jets practice squad. That means the end of the Thicker Kicker, Harrison Mevis, is out for the Los Angeles Rams. Kevin Stefanski said he expects Michael Pennex to start this Sunday against the Bears as long as there are no setbacks this week. Lamar Jackson does have a chance of missing this week's game against Cleveland, so he wants to play. I read that in one of the recent notes, but they're not sure they're going to do that. And I decided just to wrap this up with the players who were already listed as out this week so there are no questions about this. That is Baker Mayfield, Zach Charbonneau will not come off the IR this week. Trevian Henderson has been listed as out, Will Shipley is listed as out, Deebo Samuel, Christian Kirk will also not come off of the IR, and Pittsburgh rookie, or not rookie, but Pittsburgh breakout wide receiver Roman Wilson is already listed as out. So let those Jeremy Bernard stocks fly.
