Is This Anything?

Hammer + Nigel Show Podcast

July 24, 2026

A photo shoot gone wrong in a Baltimore mall parking garage. The setup was bizarre with strippers posing with exotic animals, including a snake, a tarantula, and a baby spider monkey, all set against a ring of fire. Is This Anything? See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

The Hammer and Nigel presents Is This Anything?

**Vernon** (0:06)
It depends upon what the meaning of the word is. Is this anything? All right, let's rock and roll.

**SPEAKER_1** (0:14)
And we're brought to you by Indiana Unclaimed, a program presented by the Attorney General's Office here in Indiana, reuniting Hoosiers with over $1 million in unclaimed property every single week. Nobody knows better than Guy Relford. You can find the podcast easy and free to search at Indianaunclaimed.gov.
How much cash did you find out that you had waiting for you by simply typing your name into Indianaunclaimed.gov?

**SPEAKER_3** (0:38)
$2,500. Yeah, and apparently most of it was from an old bank account that I opened when I was a kid. Good Lord. And, you know, for money from like cutting grass or shoveling snow or whatever around the neighborhood, put some money in there, forgot about it. I sat there and earned interest for like 50 years or something crazy.
And it was $2,500. In fact, I took a picture of it and sent it to Mr. Attorney General and said, hey, man, I'm a proven winner in this system here, buddy. I love it. It's real. There's real money sitting there.

Now, usually Hammer gives me the Is This Anything stories. And I was wondering if I can give them to you. Switch it up a little bit. You tell me if this is any, you know how this works.

**SPEAKER_3** (1:20)
Absolutely.

**SPEAKER_1** (1:22)
All right. These dudes, I kind of like these guys, Vernon and Jaden arrested in Baltimore.
Guy, you'll have to see it to believe it. They were doing a photo shoot in a mall parking garage featuring strippers holding exotic animals standing in a ring of fire. They literally put a ring of fire, like with kerosene, on the concrete mall garage floor. Some of the animals included a snake, a tarantula, a bait. You're going to hear Vernon. Vernon.
You're going to hear him mention a baby spider monkey. Here's Vernon.

**Vernon** (2:06)
We're talking about an empty parking lot with no civilians, full of concrete. And I don't think I've ever seen a parking lot be set on fire with lighter floor. So basically, we spoke with the security at the mall as well. We explained to him that we were going to have a fire flame photoshoot. He told us basically just be out before the mall closed. You can't show me a baby spider monkey who's spinal cord. Don't show through their back because they're born that way.

**SPEAKER_1** (2:32)
Vernon. That was Vernon trying to justify the exotic animal photoshoot with the ring of fire in an empty parking garage who was arrested. Is this anything?

**SPEAKER_3** (2:43)
Well, it's something that they got arrested. I mean, this is America, damn it. I mean, why? Why shouldn't you be able to film a cool video, you know, with some with some exotic animal snake tarantula and a spider monkey? Now, monkeys are creepy. Don't get me wrong. But but what the heck? So, you know, a little ring of fire, it's contained. It's on the asphalt.
I want to know what they got arrested for.
They didn't hurt any of the animals. They didn't catch anything else on fire. You know, OK, there were some strippers involved. But this is America. I don't see any problem.

**SPEAKER_1** (3:14)
I saw the photo shoot. These guys were definitely trying to do some sort of erotic, exotic stripper slash exotic animal shoot. Do you have that audio again, Canyon? Can you pull that back up and maybe just start it halfway through? I want to know what he said about the baby spider monkey. What was the... Can you play that?

**Vernon** (3:35)
Floyd. So basically, we spoke with the security at the mall as well. We explained to him that we was going to have a fire flame photo shoot. He told us basically just be out before the mall closed. You can't show me a baby spider monkey who's spinal cord. Don't show through their back because they're born that way.

**SPEAKER_1** (3:51)
You can't show me a baby spider... First of all, they had permission apparently from mall security.

**SPEAKER_3** (3:57)
There you go. I mean, if I say free Vernon, man, I want to go represent these guys.

**SPEAKER_1** (4:03)
I think there may have been some charges of animal neglect. And I think one of the things I'm reading now in this article is that, well, there was a baby spider monkey and it was so malnourished that you could see its spinal cord.
But Vernon's contention was, no, these animals were well taken care of. And you can't show him a baby spider monkey that doesn't have a spinal cord poking out the back of its back.
