Hammer and Nigel.

**SPEAKER_2** (0:01)
Do you believe these characters?

**SPEAKER_1** (0:02)
They're weirdos. So let's rock it!
Hammer, Crime Summit 2, Electric Boogaloo was yesterday.

**SPEAKER_2** (0:12)
Oh, wow.

**SPEAKER_1** (0:13)
Another crime summit at Cambridge Field House. And I just want to know what's discussed at these crime summits, maybe crime, crime, punishment. This comes on judges.
Legal stuff comes on the same day. And he saw four people shot four different locations within seventy five minutes last night, leaving one woman dead, three adults injured.

**SPEAKER_2** (0:41)
That's very efficient from the felons in the greater Marion County area.
My God, four people shot four different locations within seventy five minutes on the same day that the second crime summit was taking place. Now, this one didn't have the fanfare of the first one. Now, if you remember, the first, quote unquote, crime summit was shortly after Sue Finkham, the mayor of Carmel, ripped on Marion County in Indianapolis for their criminals coming up to Carmel and committing crimes.

**SPEAKER_1** (1:17)
And the soft on crime policies of Ryan Mears, in so many words.

**SPEAKER_2** (1:21)
So she got together with Boss Hogsett, and they had this big crime summit at Gamebridge Fieldhouse, which again, I'm not sure if a 17,000 plus seat basketball arena is, you know, worth having a table of like 10 to 12 people. You probably could have done this at a conference room at a holiday in somewhere overdoing it a little bit.

**SPEAKER_1** (1:46)
Maybe they sat and Joe Hogsett's sweet. Who knows?

**SPEAKER_2** (1:48)
Oh, the ones he gives to his donors, allegedly, from the Indy Star.
So that was the first one. Now, keep in mind, Boss Hogsett's kind of the leader of all this. Like he's the puppet master of these crime summits.

**SPEAKER_1** (2:01)
I'm fine with the crime summit, by the way.

**SPEAKER_2** (2:04)
If they're productive.

**SPEAKER_1** (2:05)
If they're productive.

**SPEAKER_2** (2:07)
If they're just a way of him saying, hey, look what I'm doing. I'm totally running for mayor again, but I'm concerned about the crime, even though he's a big part of the problem, then no. Now, before we get ahead of ourselves, I feel like if we're going to mention his name and we're going to invoke Joe Hogsett's name in this conversation, we need to have the official Joe Hogsett music.

**SPEAKER_1** (2:33)
Drinking Jack all by himself.

**SPEAKER_2** (2:41)
Thank you, Mindy Winkler. So this time, it was the prosecutors of the surrounding counties.

**SPEAKER_1** (2:49)
Ah, okay.

**SPEAKER_2** (2:52)
So the prosecutor from, you know, Hendricks and Hancock and Johnson Counties and others, all gathered around a table talking about the issues that they encounter. Here's the problem, Nig.
Ryan Mears did not attend this.

**SPEAKER_1** (3:11)
No, you're kidding me.

**SPEAKER_2** (3:13)
Despite the fact that it was here in Indianapolis, Marion County, the Marion County prosecutor did not attend the Crime Summit for Prosecutors.

**SPEAKER_1** (3:26)
Did he have any representation at all?

**SPEAKER_2** (3:29)
He sent one of his lackeys.
There was a female staffer that was there.
And my sources that attended this event told me this was what the kids would call a waste of freaking time.

**SPEAKER_1** (3:46)
No!

**SPEAKER_2** (3:47)
Because keep in mind, just like the previous Crime Summit where all the mayors got together, some of them have problems with Marion County and the way they incorporate their justice system. Well, the prosecutor takes a lot of shrapnel in these things. And he wasn't even there from what I've been told, Nigel, from people I trust very much. More than one source, by the way, I reached out to multiple people.
The lackey that they had filling in for Ryan Mears. Had the gall, the audacity to blame the donut counties for their crime coming into Indianapolis.

**SPEAKER_1** (4:26)
OK, right, right.

**SPEAKER_2** (4:30)
That's a pretty good Dr. Evil right there. I'm not going to lie.

**SPEAKER_1** (4:34)
That's the dumbest thing. That was the whole point of the first crime summit is because crime was exiting Marion County because the revolving door of the criminal justice system and soft on crime policies, soft on crime judges, soft on crime prosecutor Mears and moving out into the donut counties. That was a whole reason for the first crime summit.

**SPEAKER_2** (4:52)
Right.

**SPEAKER_1** (4:52)
And now the second crime summit Mears doesn't even show up. And the lackey is blaming the what? The Donut County prosecutors.

**SPEAKER_2** (5:00)
Correct.

**SPEAKER_1** (5:00)
Did I get that right?

**SPEAKER_2** (5:01)
It's the Greenwood people coming into Indianapolis. It's the Avon people coming into Indianapolis, the Fishers and Carmel's people. They're the problem coming to Indianapolis.
They think you're stupid. Like when you say this stuff out loud, it's so embarrassing. One attendee texted me last night, and again, I spoke to multiple people last night.
