**SPEAKER_1** (0:00)
Hammer and Nigel.
**Michelle Tafoya** (0:01)
You believe these characters?
**Nigel** (0:02)
They're weird of us.
**SPEAKER_4** (0:03)
So let's rock!
**Nigel** (0:05)
I don't like it, Hammer. I don't like our girl getting raked over the coals, Sophie Cunningham. The WNBA and the left-leaning media making her out to be their villain, aren't they?
**Hammer** (0:17)
She's the new boogie man to the political left and the woke left.
**Nigel** (0:21)
All because of her stance on boys playing women's sports.
**Hammer** (0:28)
And it's become some sort of anti-trans thing. And that's not even really what the conversation is about.
**Nigel** (0:36)
In no way, shape or form. Is that what it's about?
**Hammer** (0:38)
Sophie last week. And we're going to play you the audio one more time, because this is what the political left does in this country. They don't play the audio clip in its entirety. That's how that whole good people on both sides bullcrap got started.
**Nigel** (0:54)
Oh, yeah.
**Hammer** (0:55)
So Sophie Cunningham last week says, Listen, I love trans people. I've got room for everybody at my table. I just think we have to protect women's sports. You know, if you want to be trans, that's great. But biological men should not be dressing in the locker room or playing against women in sports.
Other than that, live your best life. Now, I'm paraphrasing there, but that was her message.
**Nigel** (1:20)
Yes.
**Hammer** (1:20)
Here. You know what? As a matter of fact, let's all get on the same page. This was exactly what Sophie Cunningham said about a little bit over a week ago.
**Sophie Cunningham** (1:30)
I mean, I think I said what I said. I think it's kind of common sense. And I think I'll always believe in that. I think it's really important to protect children. And that's little girls who are also involved in that category. And so I stand on what I said. And I always believe that when it comes just to protecting young girls in sport and women in sport, I feel very strongly about that. I think that's why you have Title IX. That's why you have some of the greats in women's sports. If Title IX and women's sports weren't protected, then you wouldn't hear about any type of women in sport. And so I think in the future, it's just really important to protect.
Like I said, I extend love and I don't dislike anyone. I think there is room for absolutely everyone here, and I think there's room to love everyone. And I truly think when you get people in the same room, you have conversations, you actually have a lot in common with a lot of people. And so, I'm there to love, but I'm also there to love biological women. And I think that there are rights that need to be protected. And like I said, I'm going to stand true to that.
**Nigel** (2:33)
So controversial. Let's go protest before a fever game.
**Hammer** (2:38)
And she was booed mercilessly all weekend on this road trip that the fever had. Seattle, Portland, and Minnesota, all hotbeds.
**Nigel** (2:50)
Oh, yeah.
**Hammer** (2:51)
For woke, right? All hotbeds.
**Nigel** (2:53)
Oh, yeah.
**Hammer** (2:55)
And the thing that bothers me, though, is that fever coach Stephanie White had the chance to kind of defend her player.
She could have either said, you know what? Sophie Cunningham's got the right to her opinion. There are a lot of people that feel like, you know, it's OK to be trans, but sports and dressing in a locker room was kind of a deal breaker. It's kind of a gray area. She could have said that. But instead, Stephanie White, who's got a degree from Purdue, who I believe was an academic all-American at Purdue, said she didn't have the education to come up with some sort of opinion.
**SPEAKER_7** (3:34)
What is your stance on men or athletes who tested biological male participating in women's sports? What's your personal stance?
**SPEAKER_8** (3:41)
Yeah, I mean, I don't know that I would say that I'm educated enough from a scientific standpoint. What?
**Sophie Cunningham** (3:47)
I don't ever believe that exclusion is an answer.
**SPEAKER_8** (3:50)
Hold on.
**Hammer** (3:51)
Hold on.
You're not educated enough. Listen, I make fun of Purdue a lot, but it's a smart school. They're not just passing out degrees like Tic Tacs up at Purdue. And she was an academic All-American.
**SPEAKER_7** (4:05)
Yeah.
**Hammer** (4:06)
And to say that exclusion is not the answer, Nigel, let me ask you a question. What does the W stand for in WNBA?
**Nigel** (4:16)
W stands for ladies. Women!
**SPEAKER_7** (4:19)
Women!
