**Nigel** (0:01)
Buckle up, anything can happen here. Oh, hell yeah, let it ride!
**SPEAKER_2** (0:05)
Let it ride!
**Nigel** (0:06)
Hammer and Nigel present, Caller Roulette.
**SPEAKER_3** (0:10)
Yeah, man, easy!
**Hammer** (0:11)
Ah, crap.
**Nigel** (0:13)
What are we doing with our lives?
**Hammer** (0:17)
You know, on one hand, this is the easiest segment we do all week.
**Nigel** (0:21)
Yeah.
**Hammer** (0:22)
But on the other hand, it's the one that can get us fired. So, let's light this candle. This is where we turn the show over to you. We have no idea what these people want to talk about. So, we're hearing their issues in real time, just like you guys are.
Thomas is up first. Thomas, what you got?
**Nigel** (0:40)
Hey, Thomas.
**SPEAKER_6** (0:42)
Hey, guys. I just want to let you know, I called last week to show Matt Bear some love. I drive an hour back and forth to work from where I work.
I want him to know that I really am very happy that he got a Marconi.
**Nigel** (0:58)
He's nominated.
**SPEAKER_6** (1:01)
Nominated. I want him to know that he is the boss. So I listen to him on the other radio station every morning going to work.
He's a boss.
**Hammer** (1:12)
Yep. He is the best in the business, man, and he wears his heart on a sleeve. But what gets lost is how good Matt is at his job. The podcast that he was doing and the traffic duty. It's like we say he's the best traffic reporter in the city. That's not us just blowing smoke up his backside.
Matt's the absolute best. And Nigel and I are damn lucky to be surrounded by the people we have here. I was telling Allison earlier, like Matt, we notice when Allison takes a few days off, like she is so good at what she does. And having Jarrett Lewis join our team, like that dude's a machine. He's flawless. He has fun with us. So we're very lucky to be assembled here by our team of Avengers, Thomas. Thank you.
Jeff is up next. Jeff, what's up, brother? Jeff.
**SPEAKER_4** (2:02)
Hey, I love The Hammer and Nigel Show. We listen every day.
**Hammer** (2:05)
Thank you.
**SPEAKER_4** (2:06)
And you guys have had an absolute profound effect on our lives.
**SPEAKER_3** (2:11)
And I'll tell you what I mean.
**SPEAKER_4** (2:13)
I get up from the couch and she says, where are you going?
And I'm like, garden stuff, kitchen stuff, bathroom stuff. Let's go do some bedroom stuff.
It's all day every day. And we love you guys and thank you for it.
**Nigel** (2:31)
Does the bedroom stuff line work at all, Jeff?
**SPEAKER_4** (2:36)
50-50.
**Hammer** (2:37)
Hey, we got a ball game. We got a ball game.
**Nigel** (2:40)
Bedroom stuff.
**Hammer** (2:42)
Jeff, thank you.
**SPEAKER_4** (2:43)
Bedroom stuff.
**Hammer** (2:45)
Nigel, I have talked about this before. Like we walk around our house saying stupid stuff from this show. Like it just I'll be in the kitchen just getting a drink out of the fridge or whatever. And I'll be humming like COVID-19.
**Nigel** (3:00)
You know what I mean?
**Hammer** (3:02)
The stupid jingles, the stupid songs, all that kind of crap. Stephanie is up next. Stephanie, how the heck are you?
**Nigel** (3:10)
I'm a lady.
**SPEAKER_7** (3:11)
Pretty good. How are you guys?
**Hammer** (3:13)
Awesome. What's on your mind?
**SPEAKER_7** (3:15)
Well, for now, thanks to the COVID-19 song stuck in my head again.
**SPEAKER_3** (3:18)
I didn't know about that.
**SPEAKER_7** (3:21)
No. So when it comes to fast food, like you guys were just talking about, you got to give them a chance because there's some mom and pa places that are a lot cleaner than some chain restaurants. I know. So I want to hear your like best horror story of a chain restaurant that you've experienced.
**Hammer** (3:35)
OK, best horror story of a chain restaurant.
It feels like there's two dairy queens in everybody's town growing up. There was a good dairy queen and there was a bad dairy queen. The good dairy queen took their hiring practices a little bit more seriously. The bad one, which happened to be close to my house. Your buddies probably worked there and they're picking their nose and they're handing you ice cream cones. And I remember at the pizza hut that I worked at in college up on Kilgore in Muncie, right next to the Timbers Lounge, we were slammed on a Friday night. So we brought my buddy Doug in, who was a driver, a delivery driver, to help make pizzas on the line to help us get caught up.
