Can you believe these characters?

**SPEAKER_1** (0:02)
They're weirdos.

**SPEAKER_3** (0:07)
About 105 days until the midterms? How are we feeling, man? Because there's some new polling out there that's showing this blue wave could be in danger.

**SPEAKER_2** (0:20)
Yeah, normally what happens in a midterm election is the side that loses the big election before, two years prior, it's their empire strikes back. It's their revenge of the nerds. It's their porkies the next day, right? They come back because their base is angry. They show up and they win something, whether it's the House, whether it's the Senate, they win something.

**SPEAKER_3** (0:45)
They get more seats, for sure.

**SPEAKER_2** (0:47)
And going back a couple of election cycles, some moron started this whole wave talk. It's going to be a red wave. It's going to be a blue wave.
And usually, it's pretty close, right? Last couple midterm elections, the losing side has came up big, but it certainly wasn't a wave, I would say. Well, now, since the Democrats feel like, you know, they had their ass handed to them in the general election two years ago.

**SPEAKER_3** (1:15)
They should feel that way because they did.

**SPEAKER_2** (1:19)
74% of the time, the party that loses comes back and shows up, wins something in the midterms.

**SPEAKER_3** (1:28)
Big number.

**SPEAKER_2** (1:29)
74%.
But now, new polling shows that the Senate is a dogfight right now. So realistically, it's 48-48. 48 Republicans, 48 Democrats. We feel safe with that. And that's counting Texas as a safe Republican. I just can't see Tallerico circling the wagons and defeating Ted Cruz. I don't see that.
So it's 48, or not even Ted Cruz, but you know what I mean, in Texas. 48-48. This means you've got toss-ups in Alaska, Iowa, Ohio, and Maine. Those are the four states right there. Alaska, Iowa, Ohio, and Maine. That's what the Senate balance is going to come down to.
And there's also the outside chance. I still think it's a little far-fetched, but some folks really feel like there's momentum behind Fetterman changing parties. If the Democrats really embrace this anti-Israel socialist platform, would Fetterman switch parties? So keep that in mind. But the Senate is in play, which certainly doesn't mean it's a wave of any kind.

**SPEAKER_3** (2:40)
Would you want them to switch parties? Or would you just want them to be a good Democrat at this point? I mean, a logical, if there is such a thing, a logical, well-meaning Democrat.

**SPEAKER_2** (2:51)
Right, because he's voting with the Republicans on some things right now. So I guess the title really doesn't matter.
But if you can get to 50-50, you still have JD Vance as the tiebreaker. So really, the Republicans need two for Alaska, Iowa, Ohio, and Maine. If you can get two, then you've got a ballgame. But you'd like to have more because there are some really wishy-washy Republicans. Can you always count on Murkowski?

**SPEAKER_3** (3:22)
No.

**SPEAKER_2** (3:23)
Can you count on Cocaine Mitch as he limps to the finish line? No.

**SPEAKER_3** (3:27)
Collins.

**SPEAKER_2** (3:28)
Collins, no. So you want to have that little bit of a cushion in the Senate. Now, in the House, keep in mind redistricting is playing a big role in how the House is going to play. Ever since that Supreme Court ruling about Louisiana, states are currently in the appeals process. We should know before the midterms if states like Florida can add maybe four seats to the Republican Party. Wow.
So it looks like the Republicans have a puncher's chance here with the House because a couple months ago, Nigel was a foregone conclusion. Look, they might lose the Senate, but the Democrats are going to win the House. But then the Supreme Court ruling happens and states like Florida are like, well, what if we change the maps a little bit? You know, these people over here that always say they want to change the Supreme Court and add states. What if we fought fire with fire and changed our congressional maps? So Florida did it here in Indiana. We were to chicken. You know what? We thanks Rod Bray.
The Republicans were Rod Bray and his elite team of butt sniffers.
But it seems like the Republicans still have a puncher's chance. So the midterms is game on. And that's just a long way of saying nobody's going to have a wave in any direction here. Now, what I want to see is Michigan coming up on August 4th. That's the Michigan primary. And if the Republicans are going to steal some seats, it might be in Michigan if they go with the extreme, radical, over the top communist selection over a traditional Democrat.
