Are you really okay?
**SPEAKER_2** (0:04)
Are you okay?
**SPEAKER_3** (0:05)
Everything's gonna be okay.
**SPEAKER_4** (0:08)
Are you okay?
**SPEAKER_3** (0:09)
Yeah, I'm fine.
**SPEAKER_4** (0:11)
I'm pretty far from okay.
**Hammer** (0:14)
Are you okay with this?
**Nigel** (0:16)
On The Hammer and Nigel Show.
**Hammer** (0:18)
Okay!
**Nigel** (0:19)
Help me out here, Hammer. Did I see this correctly? The SEC wants to kick out LSU because the NCAA called a meeting Thursday because LSU was trying to bring in NFL players or something like that. Did I get this right?
**Hammer** (0:35)
Do I have this story right? So there was a court ruling in the state of Louisiana that said, guys that declared for the draft but didn't make a roster went through a training camp in the NFL, but they didn't make the team could come back. And Lane Kiffin, the head coach of LSU was like, hey, come on down here, baby. Let's go.
And every other like conference and team has stated, yeah, we're not interested in doing that. Lane Kiffin's like, don't threaten me with a good time. Bring me the pro guys and we'll kick out some of these recruits. What do you say?
Well, now the lawyers are involved. LSU is trying to sue the SEC. So the SEC said, oh, you want to sue us. How about we call a meeting on Thursday and we talk about, oh, I don't know, kicking you out of the SEC.
**Nigel** (1:34)
Sue me, sue you.
**Hammer** (1:35)
Exactly. So this is an amazing piece of drama that's really got a lot of money behind it. This is a fascinating story because LSU is one of the brands of the SEC. We're not talking about kicking out Missouri or, you know, Mississippi State here. Sorry, Chris Hagen.
We're talking about LSU. And the biggest villain in college football right now is probably Lane Kiffin.
**Nigel** (2:03)
He is.
**Hammer** (2:03)
And I can't wait to see what happens on Thursday, man. This is going to be interesting.
**Nigel** (2:08)
You and I were the only ones that were cheering for LSU over the weekend.
**Hammer** (2:12)
We had them minus 10 Trust me, as a former jilted lover of Lane Kiffin's at Tennessee, that's the only time I find myself rooting for the Bayou Bengals when money is involved.
**Nigel** (2:26)
Let's stay with college football. One of the most controversial calls in the history of college football happened Saturday night as Western Michigan.
I don't know. I was watching it. They seemingly upset number 16 Michigan in Ann Arbor. Huge upset, but in the final seconds, the Broncos were ahead 9 to 7 Here's where everything changed.
**Hammer** (2:51)
Nine seconds remaining.
**SPEAKER_3** (2:52)
Deep drop. Underwood.
**SPEAKER_6** (2:54)
Five seconds left. Underwood is going to toss it towards the end zone. Into the crowd. And out of bounds. Time expires. It's the attack from the Mac.
Western Michigan sends shockwaves across the college football world. The attack from the Mac. And pulls off the week one stunner.
They take down the Loverines. 12 to 7
**SPEAKER_2** (3:16)
Wait a minute.
**SPEAKER_6** (3:17)
It's under further review.
**SPEAKER_4** (3:19)
After review, there's one second remaining in the game.
**SPEAKER_6** (3:24)
Deep drop, going to unload it towards the end zone. Into the crowd.
JJ Buchanan, touchdown. A miracle at Michigan Stadium.
**SPEAKER_2** (3:38)
Oh, bullcrap.
**Nigel** (3:42)
Then the Michigan fans stormed the field.
**SPEAKER_6** (3:45)
Right.
**Nigel** (3:45)
Because they beat Western Michigan.
**Hammer** (3:48)
Michigan fans.
**Nigel** (3:49)
Which got screwed, by the way.
**Hammer** (3:51)
I don't want to hear any more crap about how much of a blue blood you are, when you have to storm the field after cheating to beat Western Michigan.
**SPEAKER_6** (3:59)
All right?
**Hammer** (3:59)
That stuff doesn't happen at Alabama. That doesn't even happen at your rival, Ohio State. If Ohio State has to cheat to beat Akron, I don't think they'd storm the field the way you did against Western Michigan.
The excuse given was that they had a secret clock that was watching, where one player was out of bounds and touched the ball. And that should have stopped the clock at one. It was a secret clock, Nigel. So I'm wondering.
**Nigel** (4:30)
I've seen the breakdown. There was no even if there was a secret clock, there was nobody touched the ball.
**Hammer** (4:37)
I'm wondering if people in the real world can use that excuse. Next time anybody's late to work, I want you to walk in and just tell your boss, I'm not late. I just happen to have a secret clock that nobody else can see.
If you really look at it, I'm on time. So with all due respect, I think you owe me an apology.
