Hi, friends, welcome back to The Tamsen Show. I'm so glad you're here. So I think I would describe myself as a pretty confident person, but I will tell you this. I get a weird text or somebody says something odd to me, and I can be the person that spends the next 24 hours spiraling about it thinking, what did I do wrong? How did I upset them? What's going on here?
And that's why I wanted to bring in today's guest. When I heard about her and her book, her new book called Too Sensitive, I'm like, I have to have her come in here and talk to us. Dr. Sasha Hamdani is a Board Certified Psychiatrist, ADHD expert, and one of the biggest voices in this space online. She has millions of followers on social media and talks about this all the time, and also talks about the fact that she herself has ADHD, which makes this so interesting to me, because I think I've talked with you all about this over the years. I had a doctor say, look, I think it's a possibility that you could have ADHD, but you want to go and get a test. And of course, on brand, I never wound up following up and going and do that. So I'm excited to bring Dr. Hamdani on the show today and have a conversation about this, because at this time in life, I've heard so many of you say, hey, I think I have that too. So let's find out what's going on. And by the way, if you are a new listener, thank you so much for being here. If you have been here and have not left a review on Apple or Spotify or YouTube or wherever you get your podcasts, if you could do me a favor and leave a review, hit that five star rating for me, I'd be so grateful. Let's go ahead and get into it with Dr. Sasha Hamdani.

I'm excited for you to be here because I have so many questions.
I read your book. It's very personal, which I think is amazing. Thank you very much because it makes the rest of us feel like, okay, it's okay. We should be talking about this and we should be understanding it. You've made it where it's really clear to understand. So thank you for that. That means so much. I mean, sometimes I lose focus and sometimes I come back in and go out. And so it was very nice to see how it's laid out and anybody who gets it will see that. So I talked to a lot of women in midlife and I think I include myself in this.
That we're always saying like, oh, I've lost my focus. I don't know what's going on. Maybe I have ADHD and we throw it around. We throw those four letters around and I'm guilty of that myself. But I want to talk about it because I think it's really become a very big topic, not only online, but just in our everyday conversation. What is happening with that? I mean, I'm glad that it's getting normalized. Are more and more people realizing that that's what they've been dealing with?
**Dr. Sasha Hamdani** (3:32)
Yeah. I mean, that's the long and the short of it. I think we are getting better at talking about ADHD and acknowledging that it exists. This wasn't a conversation five, ten years ago.
**Tamsen Fadal** (3:43)
It wasn't a conversation.
