Really? Yeah. What was the tipping point for you to give up on Caballero? Well, there's this nonsense with the clock and all that stuff in the box, out of the box.

No, look, he's, you don't want to get into it too much, but he's right.

Like everything he's done, he's done by the rules. They're changing the rules on him. They're picking on him.
But having said that, he just doesn't produce enough. And I'm tired of watching it. Like all it does is affect the Yankees. It doesn't affect the other team. It never affects the other team. I know one pitcher wanted to fight him. Outside of that, it's never got a single pitcher off his game or caused a single problem for anybody else. So why do it? Except the Yankees. I get it's his routine and he's well within the rules and Major League Baseball is being stupid about it. But it ain't helping and he stinks. He doesn't get on base enough. He's not good enough. The Yankees need a better shortstop come postseason time, in my opinion. And we'll see if it's George Lombard. I don't know if they're gonna be able to make a trade, but there are some rumors that they could call up George Lombard. We'll see.

No, but they say he's good defensively. I would at least like to see him before you have to make a choice on whether you do need to trade for it.

Are you at all concerned that the Red Sox are rumored to be looking for a shortstop and a catcher as well? Or does that not bother you?

No, I mean, I don't know.
It doesn't really bother me all that much. I mean, them getting back into the race pisses me off. They won 15 games in a row.
And it really started, even though the winning streak technically didn't start, because they lost a couple of games to the Nationals in between. But the Red Sox getting hot and becoming a threat in the American League started with sweeping the Yankees 4 straight. I was there for it. I was in Boston for the beginning of the Boston Rise. It pisses me off. It does. But having said that, we saw, again, we saw the Marlins have an incredible June where they went from like six games undergoing into June to seven games over leaving June. They had an incredible June.
