Welcome to this episode of the Australian Investors Podcast. We're going to be talking, what are we talking about? Like reporting season, financials, Ooshies, Woolworths, record highs. We're going to get a buy hold sell out of Drew on many number of things. Woolworths, buy hold sell.

**Drew Meredith** (2:03)
Buy.

**Owen Raszkiewicz** (2:03)
Okay, that's the podcast done.

**Drew Meredith** (2:05)
Thanks for listening.

**Owen Raszkiewicz** (2:06)
But seriously, we're going to be talking about reporting season. We are in the thick of it. We are recording Thursday, 27th August, which apparently is today. So that means we're in like, this is the busiest week of the year for reporting for companies on the ASX. You'll get a few stragglers potentially next week, reporting results. And then anyone that reports after that is basically in violation of the ASX rules and therefore will be punished.
So, Drew, what's making news in your life?

**Drew Meredith** (2:35)
I don't know. The Ooshies has been a craze, has taken over, I don't know, anyone that has a child under 14, I guess. Woolworths has been issuing these Ooshies whenever you spend more money with Woolworths. And why is it relevant?
Woolworths is about $2 off a all time high at the moment.

**Owen Raszkiewicz** (2:50)
Yes, as we can see on the chart here, Woolworths, what did you say? Nearly doubled in 18 months or something?

**Drew Meredith** (2:56)
Up 50% in less than 12 months.

**Owen Raszkiewicz** (2:58)
Yeah, wow.

**Drew Meredith** (2:59)
It's kind of a story. You've seen it with, we saw it with CSL recently, obviously CSL not back to the 300, but it's up like 75% in a short period of time. But once the sentiment turns towards these massive companies, they can rarely, like who would have thought of 50% return from a grocery retailer?

**Owen Raszkiewicz** (3:14)
Yeah, yeah. And solely due to this little baby odor.

**Drew Meredith** (3:18)
98% recycled apparently and there's no sponsorship whatsoever. This is just.

**Owen Raszkiewicz** (3:22)
Rui is now endorsing baby yodas.

**Drew Meredith** (3:25)
I wish.

**Owen Raszkiewicz** (3:25)
On the show.

**Drew Meredith** (3:26)
But why is it, so supermarket sales for Woolworths generally were up almost 5% for the previous half, so to 30 June. But to begin the financial year, this is when the Ooshies campaign came out, they were up 7.6% in the first eight weeks of the financial year.

**Owen Raszkiewicz** (3:41)
Because of Ooshies?

**Drew Meredith** (3:42)
Pretty much solely because of Ooshies.

**Owen Raszkiewicz** (3:44)
I always see this stuff at the checkout and I think that's just a load of crap.

**Drew Meredith** (3:47)
Comes in a bag, you don't actually...

**Owen Raszkiewicz** (3:49)
Yeah, yeah, yeah. And I have like 40 of these things at home. Maybe I've got like a good one.
