There I am. Good morning, everyone. You're on the Live The Dream Media Network, Christopher DeSimone, busy, busy wake up leading into Southwest flavor, where Ron and Dr. Joe have some sort of American Ninja Warrior athletes. So just tell Clinton Dave she might be scaling up the walls like Spider Woman. So that might be happening in the ninth hour, at the nine o'clock hour. Busy show today, we have David Schweikert at seven o'clock for his Thursday visit.
I think a couple of things happened since I saw David. And then we have our guy, Rainer Zitelmann from Germany. He'll be on at 7.3 and then Doug Everett running for Legislative District something. He's coming up at eight o'clock making his debut and a man who requires no introduction.
Ted Maxwell. Hello, my friend.

**Doug Everett** (1:45)
Morning Chris, how are you doing?

**Christopher DeSimone** (1:46)
How are you doing, sir?

**Ted Maxwell** (1:49)
You know, I can only imagine the, you know, when you spend so much time doing something like you've done over the last several months of working towards it and you mentioned yesterday was just crash day, it all comes crashing down. Win or lose, you've got to hit that point, but it's much, much harder.

**Christopher DeSimone** (2:07)
The cool thing about doing a show like this is I ripped the bandaid off yesterday.

**Doug Everett** (2:10)
Oh, you did?

**Ted Maxwell** (2:11)
I mean, there was no doubt you had an opportunity.

**Christopher DeSimone** (2:14)
And some people really wallow in this stuff for a while. So I was physically exhausted from the day before.
I kind of slept crappy. Definitely was yesterday was like radio silence. I got some work done, but just chill.

**Ted Maxwell** (2:27)
Yeah.

**Christopher DeSimone** (2:28)
And then I'm fine. Well, and the thing that I think it'll feel better after I ripped the signs out later today.

**Ted Maxwell** (2:34)
Well, that too. That it's all and so you've got to still go through all the rest of those steps that are painful.

**Christopher DeSimone** (2:40)
And then I'm going to take my crew up, my volunteers out for you had a great team.

**Ted Maxwell** (2:44)
You had a great team of dedicated folks. You did a good job of reaching out. I think that the playing field was set. I mean, people knew the difference between the candidates and what our town voted for was, no, we just want to be a sleepy little retirement community.

**Christopher DeSimone** (2:58)
Someone in Sun City said, I'm scared if Barrett, Rose and Matt get in, that all of Oro Valley will turn in the Sun City. And he goes, I live in Sun City and I don't want that. All right.

**Ted Maxwell** (3:11)
That's what the message was.

**Christopher DeSimone** (3:12)
Yeah.

**Ted Maxwell** (3:12)
I mean, think about it. The fact that people weren't making a big deal about why would you say something like no five or six story buildings?
What if it's in the very basins like some of the buildings are that are four and five stories that don't affect anybody's view?

**Christopher DeSimone** (3:29)
Doesn't matter. It's all fear.

**Ted Maxwell** (3:31)
It is.

**Christopher DeSimone** (3:33)
So all the things that identified over the last so many years, right, will just get worse, right? We'll have decision making that is marred by personal dislike of certain folks, right? Because I've seen that with the Winfield folks with going after HSL, right? Because Bird and Omar and those guys fully funded Danny Sharp, right? So if you notice, you'll see that they were more punishing towards HSL, including the, think about this, not just, so they could justify their Oro Valley marketplace stuff we're fighting for, right? But you couldn't justify the Visit Tucson decision.
That was pure, we can't stand HSL. That's the only reason you would go, because HSL is like, no, don't do this, right? And HSL and Westward Look are going out of their own pockets.

**Ted Maxwell** (4:28)
And that's the ridiculous thing about it. I mean, you go and you carve what I would call an annexation that's right on the border edge where you say, okay, I understand what you're doing, your little sliver up, we're going to go down, we're going to get the commute. We don't want the rooftops, which remember, rooftops bring share state revenue. Bingo. We don't want any of that, but we're going to go get this money suck.
