Derek Scubal not moving the markets a whole lot because guess what? Dodgers have won back to back World Series. They've already been installed as a pretty massive favorite to go win their third straight championship. So odds only come down a smidge as far as winning the National League, as far as winning the World Series, but the Dodgers will be an overwhelming favorite once we hit the month of October that we know. Well, there was a team that over a point in time had that same sort of prowess to them. That would be the Kansas City Chiefs in the NFL. Kansas City Chiefs are winning all of the Super Bowls with Mahomes and Andy Reid, winning these games in dramatic fashion. They had their chance to go and get a three-peat. They failed miserably because the Philadelphia Eagles whooped them into Super Bowl bad in New Orleans a couple of years ago. They got smoked. Last year was a nightmarish year. They were on the wrong side of a bunch of close games. Then Patrick Mahomes blows out his ACL, and that was all she wrote for the 2025 Kansas City Chiefs. Now, Kansas City has got a total for wins at 10.5. The under is heavily juiced on DraftKings at minus 140 They are in one of the most competitive divisions in the NFL. If you look at the top three in the AFC West, Kansas City is $1.75 to win it. The Chargers, when Mike McDaniel now is their new offensive coordinator, with both tackles returning, they are at plus 190 And then you have the Denver Broncos, who were in the AFC Championship game a year ago, and they added Jalen Waddle. They are at plus 210 So depending on where you see those odds, and at DraftKings, they are a little different. Chiefs at plus 160, Chargers at plus 190, Broncos at plus 225
You know, normally, Will, I look at the Chiefs and I say, Patrick Mahomes is there, Andy Reid is there. All of that pedigree, all of that prowess.
Fire beware, fading them.
I saw that picture of Travis Kelce. He's packing on the pounds this offseason. It's a team that's not getting any younger. There's an insane amount of age on the Chiefs.
I'm not exactly lining up to go and bet their division number. I'm not exactly lining up to go and bet their Super Bowl number. That used to be a traditional like any other. Take the plus 650, take the plus 700, 500, whatever it is, throw it in the portfolio and feel good about it.
I wouldn't feel great about a 16 to 1 bet on the Kansas City Chiefs. Is that insane? Because I just think there are a whole lot of questions.

There are a whole lot of questions. I agree with everything you said except, I don't mind taking the 16 to 1 just because if it looks right. If we're in Week 3 or even Week 1, my home looks like my home, the Chiefs looks like the Chiefs, they're 3-0. Oh man, why didn't I just take the 16 to 1? I don't mind taking that number, but I made this point, I remember talking about this, the night they lost to the Eagles doing my podcasting, the Patriots had a 10-year low. I know looking back, it was just like, oh, the Patriots, they won it every year. They did it. They had a little run where they won about three out of four. Then they went 10 years without winning one, and then they won another three in five or six years.
I wondered that night, and I've been talking about it since. Is this the wall here? What's crazier? Mahomes basically going to the AFC title game Super Bowl every year, or you run into a situation where he goes three or four years, where they miss the playoffs, they lose the wild card round. Issues with the pass catchers and issues with the scale. Worthy, a one-trick pony. Kelsey's wash at this point, even if he looked great. I mean, he could look like whoever. He could look like a model right now. I still just think he's pretty much a shell of himself, no longer what he used to be. Walker is there running back from the Seahawks Super Bowl MVP. I would imagine that Mahal was going to be under center more, try to throw him the ball, maybe rely on the running back more. But the schedule is an issue too, JJ. That is not usually have a down year like the Lions. We had a down year, but the good thing is we get a nice schedule. They still have to play them. Those division games are tough against the Broncos and Chargers. That's four tough games.
