The Baltimore Orioles defeated the Boston Red Sox 5-1 Wednesday night as a 15-game win streak tying the Red Sox franchise record. Did not get to a 16th consecutive victory. What a streak it was for Boston. They're now right in the thick of the AL wildcard race in the American League, but we will have to pour one out there for the win streak. But the Red Sox, they lose it five to one. Hell of an effort, but they're not able to push it to a new franchise record of 16

Cue all of the tweets from people saying, if you bet $100 on the Red Sox and rolled it over, the last 16 games, you're up $0 or you're down $100.
Those tweets are always entertaining, but yeah, hell of a run. A 15-game win streak, a 15-game win streak is boy, seven or eight is a lot. Fifteen is a hell of a win streak, especially for a team that was under 500 by double-digit games. It was a very random, very impressive streak. And I think it's sustainable going forward. They got a lot of pitching. Bennett and Toli and Gray, there's got the back of the bullpen, they're probably a bad short, but man, they have a lot of pitching. So we'll see how they bounce back. That's obviously something people at V Center are watching with huge implications for most wins in July. They're still in very good shape there, but one team that's in action here on Thursday, I want to get to Tampa and Toronto, Seymour against Bieber. Bieber has not been great even though it was last time out, he was. We keep saying there's no real sellers in the league, and especially in the American league, it's the Angels, it's the A's, and it's the Royals. We can add Toronto to that. Toronto now 10 games under 500 We can officially declare them done. You're 10 games under 500, in the late July with a week to go in July, you're a seller, you're done. So I would probably lean towards Tampa again there. I think they've got the pitching match up here on Thursday afternoon. And when you discuss sellers, you can mention those three teams, you can now mention the Blue Jays, along with the Rockies, the Giants of the world. To me, Toronto is done, a team that was really a series of miracles away from holding up the trophy. They needed all of those things to not go their way to win that World Series. And here they are a week away from the deadline, and they are donezo.

It's probably not Cease. I mean, I guess you listen on...
I mean, the rule, the thinking is you listen on anybody. You never just hang up the phone unless it's, I guess, like, is around Femi's prime time, Homes. Yeah, you listen, but I don't know. It's not, you know, probably some relievers. You know, would you listen on Gossman? I'm not sure. It's going to be an interesting team because that's a team where people kept saying, hey, they're a week away. American League is wide open. You can't count anyone out. I think we're at the point now we can count Toronto out. And they've got some pieces that, I mean, who knows if they deal what they deal. But if they do sell, there are some teams that will at least be picking up the phone, trying to, trying to acquire some of these guys.
