Will Hill, Matt Humans here on Football Friday night, final hour of VSiN PrimeTime. We got NFL preseason action and MLB going on as we speak. And Will, our game of the night was Yankees, Blue Jays, and the Yankees just blew the lead. Blue Jays go up 2-1 in the 6th against Garrett Cole.
You bet this under 8 That was your best bet. So still looking good there, but the Yankees blew the lead and you were not happy about that.

Yeah, two on, one out. Ground ball to third, McMahon who plays a really good third base. Can't really hit, but plays a good third base, has a good glove.
Steps on third for a one out and then bounces a ball to first base. Could have been caught, maybe should have been caught. You know, a lot of major league first basemen are gonna scoop that ball at first. Luis Garcia Jr., who's a tremendous hitter, doesn't really have a position, is not able to scoop it, but makes matters worse by, after not coming up with the ball, picks up the ball, and then throws it across the diamond to nobody in particular. It leads to a run. And then Alejandro Kirk doubles for a second run. So it goes from one nothing Yankees and very nearly an ending double play to now a two one Blue Jays lead. So Aaron Boone and his team is not playing good defense. That's something that's been, something that's plagued that team for a long time, nearly his whole ten year and it continues now tonight as the Yankees with that offense don't have much margin for error. So hopefully it doesn't cost me my under, but it so far has cost the Yankees a one nothing lead.

A defensive breakdown by the Yankees? I can't imagine that would happen. I can't imagine. Aaron Boone runs such a tight ship that stuff usually doesn't happen. Blue Jays take a two one lead in that one. All right, Will, what else in baseball is significant to you at this point, by the way, pretty important game between the White Sox and the Tigers and Detroit, believe it or not, the Tigers are hanging around the playoff race despite trading Tarek Scubal. White Sox have a 9-5 lead in Detroit. Pirates up 8-3 on the reeling Red Sox. All of a sudden, they can't win. Padres five, Guardians four in Cleveland. That's in the seventh inning tonight.
Also, Orioles and Rays tied at two in the sixth, and Tampa back home after a long road trip. That one, not much baseball betting action for you tonight, but you do have Yankees, Blue Jays under eight.

I do. Sweating that one out.
This is going to be a good win for the White Sox, assuming they hang on because they went into the weekend after as well as they played and as poorly as Detroit played. You couldn't have a year go much worse if you're the Tigers, you couldn't have a year go much better if you're the White Sox. And you go into Detroit for three games and if you get swept, you're all of a sudden looking at being in second place and a half game out. Well, it looks like that sweep is probably not going to be on the table here because it is nine, five White Sox. We still got a few outs to get. But the White Sox can at least avoid disaster and no, hey, let's get this one in our pocket. Maybe we can split the next two and maybe even pick up a ground on Detroit. So let me ask you, if I ask you right now, who wins the AL Central, who would you say?

I'm going to go White Sox. We go to the south side, White Sox, a long shot. I don't I don't have a strong opinion on that. Actually, before the season, I picked the Royals and Royals have been rotten. And one of the biggest disappointments in baseball. I would like to see I'm just saying that I would what I'd like to see.

Maybe hopefully it happens would be the White Sox winning the division. Our buddy, Sammy Panayotovich, has what White Sox 40 to 1 win the division. I can't believe the number got that high, but I think he mentioned that's what he's got in his pocket, right?
