We're off and running on a Tuesday night alongside Matt Youmans. I'm Tim Murray, busy night of Major League Baseball. I know Matt is chomping at the bit. Paul Skeens on the hill as we speak down in Miami, the Red Hot Cubs. We talked to Alex Cohen last night, one of the Cubs play by play broadcasters. They're in action against the Washington Nationals. Coming up in just a little bit, Matt, Yankees updates. Yankees, Mariners starting in just about five minutes and Dylan Cease takes the rubber. Will he continue his Red Hot ways and work his way to trying to chase down Cam Schlitler for AL Cy Young?

I bet on Dylan Cease tonight, minus 140 and Cease. Last six starts, including the two before the All-Star break, just incredible numbers. I talked about it this morning on the show with Super Dave and Jensen. He's been the best pitcher in baseball since early July. I think it's since his July 3rd start. And the way the Red Sox have kind of slumped here the last few days. You think Dylan Cease probably should get the best of him tonight. Now, I don't like this Toronto lineup. We talked about it last night.
Nobody in the lineup batting better than 270 last night. They didn't do much offensively, but I would think the under and the Blue Jays would be the plays in that game tonight, and I would expect another great outing from Dylan Cease.

Got a lot of low totals tonight on the board, so we'll keep our eyes on that. Nolan McLean will take the hill against the Atlanta Braves. The New York Mets beating the Braves last night, seven to five. Good pitchers match up out in Milwaukee, or excuse me, out in San Diego. We will get to that here momentarily, but Matt Blake Snell back for the Los Angeles Dodgers. We could discuss this one a little bit later. Dodgers 10-10 first pitch. They came back to win last night against the Kansas City Royals, thanks in part to the Royals Disastrous Bullpen. And Snell, a massive favorite tonight, at around minus 260 is the low point if you want to lay the chalk with the Dodgers.

Not going to do it. In fact, I'm going to be in the dog in this game. I'm going to find a way. I haven't bet it yet. I talked about this this morning, too, with the dynamic duo in the morning. But Blake Snell is always a slow starter, and it feels like he's getting his start just now. I believe he has not pitted since May 9th. Is that right? And I wouldn't expect Snell to go deep into this game or be very sharp tonight. And I think the Royals actually, they hit Tarek Scubal last night. Dodgers were lucky to win again. Absolutely. They went again last night against Kansas City. And I'm going to look for ways either the first five or the game. I've been looking at this today. I'm going to probably play the Royals. I played the Blue Jays and I want to play the Royals tonight. By the way, I talked about Dylan Cease. I want to mention that one more time before the game starts.
Cease since July 3rd.
An ERA of 0.84, that's four earned runs, over 43 innings with 56 strikeouts. No pitcher in baseball has been better than Cease since early July.

Quick update from the Nation's capital, the Chicago Cubs, the team that is trying to chase down the Brewers. Got good news last night as the Brewers lost in San Diego 3-2, Jackson Merrill, late home run in that game to give them a 3-2 victory.
The Chicago Cubs trailing 2-0 in the 1st as CJ Abrams just went yard, a 2-run homer off of Shota Imanaga. Abrams, his 29th homerun of the season, and the Nats have a 2-0 lead over the Chicago Cubs. So that game closed as Chicago minus $1.75 at a number of sports books right here at Circumat. And now as we take a look at the live line for Washington and the Chicago Cubs, the Nats have moved back to a favorite here in this spot. So Nats, quick start here. And as you know, the Nats bullpen is horrific. So at some point, the Cubs could certainly battle back and win this game.
