Two to nothing north of the border of the Blue Jays have a two run lead over the Boston Red Sox. Red Sox could be dropping their third in a row here after winning 27 out of 30 We've seen the Red Sox have some epic comebacks. You know, Matt, last time we were together Thursday night, we had the Hall of Fame game wrap up with the finish with Haynes King scoring a touchdown as time expired. And the Red Sox and White Sox played an epic game into what was at the 12th or 13th inning back and forth. They went, Red Sox were able to walk that one off.
But those pesky A's are always tricky. And they dropped two of three over the weekend to the West Sacramento A's. Speaking of the A's, Matt, they will face Freddie Peralta in his, I believe, second start as a member of the Rays. And his first one was not good when he was beat up in Colorado.

Come on, football into Matt's veins. We need it. I will say that the Tampa Bay Rays continue to impress. They're the hottest team in baseball right now. I believe the Rays have won six in a row. And you keep waiting for them to slip up. And for the Yankees, the Red Sox make a big run here. But the Rays have a five and a half game lead over the Yankees, seven games up on the Red Sox, and eight and two in their last ten. The Tampa Bay Rays.
One of the best stories in baseball. Nobody talks about the Rays.

Yeah, it is true. Nobody talks about the Tampa Bay Rays. And the Brewers get, I would say, a decent amount of love because the Miz is so polarizing in a good way. Another strong outing yesterday. They would give up a couple of home runs. But the Brewers, they got a big one tonight. 940 Eastern start in San Diego. Logan Henderson will start. Casey Maez will go for the San Diego Padres. Total sitting at seven.
Right now, the Brewers, a slight road favorite at Petco Park tonight. 940 first pitch. Our game of the night. We'll talk about it a little bit later on in the hour. Tarek Schubel's second start as a member of the Dodgers, and they are massive favorites. The Dodgers are.

I would say the Brewers Padres is worthy game of the night status here on the show tonight, but the pitching matchup is not that great. And I think the storyline with the Dodgers is a little bit more interesting. Also, I think the betting aspect of this, can you lay a run and a half of the Dodgers the way they are slumping offensively right now? It's tough. I mean, I'm sure a lot of bettors are considering that. Do you want to lay a buck 25 at the Dodgers and Scooball? They're not scoring, but they should beat up on the Kansas City Royals tonight. This is a really big series for the Brewers and the Padres on San Diego.
I think it's also time for the Dodgers to wake up and we'll see if they start to do that tonight. I would think that they open up a can on Kansas City tonight. But if you've been watching the Dodgers every day, the offense is really, really sluggish. And I'm not going to bet on them tonight. I'm not going to wait a run and a half.

How about this week for the Brewers, Matt? You mentioned three against the Padres.
Every game right now is so important for the Padres as they're trying to get into that wild card, one of those three spots. And then four games at Chavez Ravine for the Brewers. So, we're going to talk to Alex Cohen, play by play, one of the play by play voices of the Chicago Cubs. The main one is Boog Shambi, but Alex fills in for Boog and does a lot of work for Marquee Network. So, Alex is going to join us in the final hour of the show. Cubs keep doing their thing, man. They go to Kansas City, take two of three. They keep the pressure on, but give credit to the Brewers, right? They have continued to find ways here and take care of business.
