It is the Friday morning edition of VSiN By The Books. I'm Dave Ross right here at the Mint Gaming Hall in Franklin, Kentucky. There's our closer Jensen Lewis back home in Cleveland, Ohio. My man, we had football last night. Of course, we have more Major League Baseball to discuss. We got fights in Philadelphia coming up this weekend and some golf going on in Memphis. There's a whole lot going on here in the sporting landscape.
**Jensen Lewis** (0:43)
Man, it was great. Good little day yesterday all across the landscape. We'll dive into a perfect preseason Thursday record that we had. Thank you, Steve MacKinnon, for that.
A lot of important implications in the wild card races yesterday in baseball. And boy, Larry Mears is not here to defend himself, but his guy Edwin Diaz, he got problems. He got problems back into that bullpen in LA.
That's a game the Dodgers should have won. Brewers get a much needed win. A lot to discuss here on a Friday, my friend.
**Dave Ross** (1:15)
We called him in New York when things went south. We didn't call him Sugar. We called him Splenda. He was Splenda last night for the Dodgers, that's for sure. Thomas Gable is going to join us as he always does each and every Friday from the board. Gotta loop and a carol in advance of UFC 330 That's why I'm wearing my Italian stallion for Philadelphia is they're going to have that Rocky statue should be on display somewhere. And Darryl Ryder is going to join us in our number three, two, talking all things Cleveland Browns football.
We got a great show lined up today, but let's talk about what we saw. And if you like unders, last night was the night for you. And that's where we begin today's edition of our highlights and headlines.

Six games last night, the preseason week number one, six unders, and it looked like one of them. There's no way that Raider and Cardinal game is going to stay under.
Oh, but it did 24-17 there, Jensen. Before we get to the individual games themselves, how about that trend? We talked about it a lot in the program yesterday. All of the liens are to the unders and they all come home.
**Jensen Lewis** (2:27)
Yeah, really cool. Again, as good an endorsement to become a VC and pro subscriber, to get Bill AD's daily email was early this week, Dave, in which he was illustrating a couple of the trends from Steve McAnon.
The one was those Hall of Fame game participants coming off of that game just a week prior. What would they do in week two?
Those teams that had lost were a perfect four and O straight up in ATS in their following preseason game, but they were also perfect to the under. There's no way in hell you would have told me turning that game off in the second half with about what, 12, 13 minutes left that I would have gotten my under 41 and a half in for Cardinals and Raiders. But thank you, Steve MacKinnon. Perfect for no last night. The rarely seen highly effective tie in preseason games. Dave, we got that one with the what? The Colts and the Patriots tie last night. The under also hits for Chargers Texans member. That was a Steve MacKinnon trend where you had conference foes with at least a total of 37
That flies under by four points. Really outstanding stuff. But again, that's why you become a decent pro subscriber. Nice and easy. Blind tail, plug and play. Perfect 4-0. Thank you, Steve MacKinnon.
**Dave Ross** (3:44)
Yeah, we saw some guys play. We talked about it too with the Bengals. I mentioned yesterday, I didn't want to lay those points here, even though Joe Burrow did play. You saw some quarterbacks that will get to that look pretty good.
Others may be a little bit more to be desired. We do have some news that Josh Allen will start for Buffalo tomorrow night when they play their first preseason game. Guys that will not be playing guys like Patrick Mahomes, Matthew Stafford, Caleb Williams for the Bears. So keep an eye on that. We'll break down those games in further detail. My goodness, what in the world was Jaden Daniels? If he opened up social media yesterday, it was a can that was opened up there yesterday because we got just a bizarre day for the star young quarterback in Washington DC released a statement saying that now he's just focused on the commanders amid the legal drama with LSU. There was reports that he want to have his Heisman Trophy back. Is this about name, image and likeness? He felt disrespected that they were still wearing his number five at LSU. But I mean, Jensen, what in the world was this youngster going through yesterday? Says he wants to focus on today.
