Kiera Davis, welcome to Twenty Something. I am so grateful to have you in the studio today, so thank you for taking the time.

**Kiera Davis** (0:07)
I am so happy to be here.

This conversation, I know I mentioned this before, but this conversation is one that I have been like counting down the days to have, and I've been telling all my friends and family about it, because I love bringing guests on that cover topics that I know that I and people in my life in our 20s are deeply struggling with, because typically those things are pretty universal, right? So for the person who is spending an hour or so of their time with us today, what about their life is going to change based on our conversation?

**Kiera Davis** (0:42)
I hope that as we talked today that those listening will feel empowered and excited, and I hope that the women listening especially will feel more curiosity about what's happening in their body, and I hope that they'll feel seen by what we talk about, because one thing that I talk about so much is that women, before we understand our hormones, we just feel crazy. We feel so crazy, so psycho. We don't know what's going on, and we can't make sense of any of it, and so I hope women that are listening can feel seen in that, and know you're not crazy.
Your body is just complex, and it's beautiful what it is capable of and what you can do with it. And so I hope that, and then I hope that the men listening, and I hope that the men don't turn it off because we're talking about hormones today, but leave it on.

**Olivia Burnett** (1:35)
Leave it on. Leave it on.

**Kiera Davis** (1:37)
Stay with us. I hope that the men who are listening will be able to understand a little bit more of what the women in their life are going through, and we'll talk about men too. We'll talk about the male hormone cycle a little bit, and just how men and women can work together, and how our strengths and weaknesses compliment each other so beautifully.

I think I could fill this room with people of all different ages, geographical locations, and there would be not a single person in this room that wouldn't need to hear this conversation. I think this conversation might be one of the most important ones that we have ever filmed on Twenty Something. So I'm really excited to talk about it. Let's get into it.
Wait, are we recording?
Hey, Twenty Somethings, it's Liv, and I am so excited for this episode. It really is so important, and I promise you that it's going to change your brain and leave you feeling so empowered. But before we jump in, it would really mean the world to me if you would leave a quick review. It helps more people find this conversation, and it helps them keep growing in little corners of the Internet.
So hormones. Do you ever get overwhelmed just hearing the word? Because I do. I'm mad. It's my hormones. I'm sad. It's my hormones. Kiera, I have been so excited for this conversation since we chatted. I know I already told you this, but I have told so many of my friends and family about this conversation, because hormones is one of those things that, to me at least, it feels so overwhelming at times, I have no chance of comprehending what actually is going on. And so I just attempt to not even really put in the work to understand it because it feels so overwhelming. Sometimes I feel like when I'm just feeling crazy and upset and emotional, I'm like, oh, my hormones are out of whack. But it's like, what do you do? I have no idea. So anyways, I am so excited about this conversation because I already feel I'm like, I could better understand the hormones in my body. I think I would feel so much more empowered, like in my own life in so many ways. So anyways, I'm very excited. Thank you for being here.

**Kiera Davis** (3:57)
I'm excited to be here.

**Olivia Burnett** (3:58)
I would love to get a little bit of background into how you have gotten into working with hormones. I obviously am no expert in the field even a little bit. And so I didn't even really know there were like hormone experts, people like you, who teach and educate about what's going on in your body that way.

**Kiera Davis** (4:20)
Yeah, it's such a unique field because it's a relatively new field, especially women's hormones.
