Imagine if Nike hit you up right now and said, hey, we'll give you $38 million to make some shoes for us. That's pretty much what these companies did. They gave out the worst shoe deals in NBA history. With Brian Reeves being a high draft pick and turning into a complete bust, this shoe deal did the same thing, ended up not working out. Brian Reeves played for the NBA from 1995 to 2001, all with the Vancouver Grizzlies. During his time, he managed to average 12 points, 6 rebounds, and 1 assist per game. These numbers were not up to par with the sixth overall pick in the draft, with his only accolade being in the 1995-96 season, all rookie, surprising to hear he even got a shoe deal. The popular film company Warner Bros. was just getting into shoes. They must have felt that Brian was the perfect fit for their brand. Although he didn't get a signature shoe, he got a custom shoe made for him that he wore every game, and also had the Grizzlies colors. The shoes were mainly white, but consisted of purple and Grizzlies teal, and they also had a big WB for Warner's bro on the tongue. Luis Scola having a career averaging 12 points, 6 rebounds, and 1 assist per game, surprising to know that he actually got a massive shoe deal with an unpopular brand at the time. Scola played in the NBA from 2007 until 2017
He played with 5 different teams, but most notably the Rockets. Averaging 12 points per game throughout his career as well as having no accolades other than the 2008 All-Rookie team wasn't enough to keep him apart of one team for too long. Although Scola wasn't a huge NBA sensation, he was an international hit. Before coming to the NBA, he won an Olympic gold medal in Argentina in 2004 Scola got the deal a year before he was even in the league. Anderson Nitsch's shoe has a colorway that could also match Houston's alternate jersey. The shoe features a red leather base accented by hints of white and yellow throughout. Scola's career accomplishments appeared on a rib panel that wraps from ankle to ankle. ANTA's logo is done in white leather on the lateral ankle, while China's country calling code H610 is stitched in yellow above. When talking about his deal with ANTA, Scola said, Wearing professional basketball shoes makes me feel more comfortable, unless we focus on the game and helps me win. In eight years of cooperation with ANTA, ANTA basketball gears become more professional and I'm a huge fan of ANTA's basketball products. With Chandler Parsons playing as a role maker off the bench for most of his career, it's surprising to know that he actually got his own shoe deal. Chandler Parsons has been in the league since 2011 Currently, he's playing for the Atlanta Hawks, where you have just two points in one rebound and less than an assist per game. Back in 2014, when he announced his ANTA deal, he was averaging 12 points, four rebounds, and two assists per game while on the run.
