**Craig Carton** (0:00)
Here's Mike and Titten Falls on the fan. Michael's got a beef with Big Mac. What is it, Michael?
**Chris McMonigle** (0:05)
Oh, here we go.
**SPEAKER_3** (0:07)
Hey, what's going on, guys? Hey, Big Mac.
**Chris McMonigle** (0:09)
Yeah.
**SPEAKER_3** (0:10)
I got one thing to say, Big Mac. All right?
Since 2011, the last time the Giants won a Super Bowl, how many times have they won 11 games in the year?
**Chris McMonigle** (0:23)
Since 2011?
**SPEAKER_3** (0:25)
Yes.
**Chris McMonigle** (0:26)
I don't know if they've won any 11 game seasons. Well, two?
**SPEAKER_3** (0:30)
One.
**Chris McMonigle** (0:31)
No, one. 2016
**SPEAKER_3** (0:32)
One.
**Chris McMonigle** (0:32)
When they went to the playoffs with, yeah, when they went to the playoffs the one year with Macadoo. Correct. They won 11 games that year.
**SPEAKER_3** (0:41)
Yeah.
What is this like? All I'm saying is, you're saying that they're pretty much booking in for 10, 11 wins. All I'm saying is, they're gonna need a lot to go their way to get 11 wins.
**Chris McMonigle** (0:53)
They never franchised quarterback. I mean, that was the last year of Eli. That was like that. That was it.
**Craig Carton** (0:58)
Was it 2016?
**Chris McMonigle** (0:59)
2016, yeah.
**SPEAKER_3** (1:00)
But Big Mac, listen, I like Dart. And I said, I respect your opinion. I like the optimism. I'm just saying you're gonna need a lot to get 11 wins.
**Chris McMonigle** (1:12)
I think if Jackson Dart becomes what we hope he can become and John Harbo is the head coach, I think you could be talking about a 10 And remember, they're gonna play one more game than those giant teams did for most of those years because now it's 17 I think you've got a chance at a 10, 11 win season on most seasons if you have a franchise quarterback and the level of head coach John Harbo is.
**Craig Carton** (1:31)
It is crazy. With the caller's point, which was half obnoxious and... No, they didn't. I was just looking at it.
**Chris McMonigle** (1:39)
He was never his brother that won 12, 13 games every year.
**Craig Carton** (1:41)
By the way, I just to walk you through it, and only because the caller brought it up.
If you want to start, what year do you want to start? I'm sorry, 2007?
**Chris McMonigle** (1:52)
His first year.
**Craig Carton** (1:54)
So 2006 down.
**Chris McMonigle** (1:55)
His rookie season was 2006
**Craig Carton** (1:56)
It's really fascinating to show you how bad the Giants have been. Now, they got two Super Bowls in that time frame, but his point's not a bad one, which is starting in 2006 They were 8-8 that year. That's where they lost in the play of the Walker play of game against the Eagles, that close game, 23-20 game, right?
But 8-8, so 10-6 was the next year they won the Super Bowl. Okay, that was the 10-6 team.
**Chris McMonigle** (2:20)
Right, the 2007 team, yeah.
**Craig Carton** (2:22)
Okay, the next year, which a lot of people think, myself included, Best team I've ever seen. That team was better than the team the year before.
**Chris McMonigle** (2:30)
100, best giant team. I didn't know the best team ever.
**Craig Carton** (2:32)
That's the Plax to Go year, the gun, the whole thing.
**Chris McMonigle** (2:34)
That year during the regular season, the 2008 Giants, before the Plax to Go thing, that's the best giant team I've ever seen.
**Craig Carton** (2:43)
I think everyone your age, for sure.
**Chris McMonigle** (2:45)
I don't really remember the 90 team all that well. I vaguely remember the 90 team that went on to win the Super Bowl. But outside of that, that was a dominant.
**Craig Carton** (2:52)
That was a 12 and 14 And obviously when Plax has his situation there, it went south very quickly. They lose to the Eagles. They get blown out by the Eagles in the playoff game.
**Chris McMonigle** (3:02)
They had the best offensive line of football. They ran the ball. They were just a great defensive team.
**Craig Carton** (3:07)
They were juggernaut. They were juggernaut. They should have been back to back. They at least were good enough to win back to back.
**Chris McMonigle** (3:12)
Absolutely. That was the best team of this era.
**Craig Carton** (3:14)
2009, they missed the playoffs. They were going 8-8. 2010, they actually had a good year. They were 10-6, but missed the playoffs by a game.
Then 2011, they were a wild card team in 9-7. And they go on this crazy run and they win the Super Bowl for the second time. But just let that sink in. So the two Super Bowls of that era, you've got a 10-6 team, which came in second place in the NFC. They were a wild card team that year. And they were a wild card team in 2011, at 9-7, okay? Excuse me, they won the division at 9-7, I reversed that, but I apologize. All right, but they were 9-7, not a double-digit win team.
