You can stop it there, so no joke, Lex. I've been saying for months, 3 million people, and that's a little hyperbole, because we've never seen anything like that. They're expecting millions of people. And she's right. Areas are going to fill very fast. Once an area fills up, you're not going to be allowed to squeeze into that area. So if you are planning to go, obviously, early bird gets the worm.
There's also one area right by City Hall, which is for credentials only.
How you get a credential, I don't know. I know Mayor Mamdani said, I think they were doing a lottery for 600 tickets in that area. I'm not sure how many people can fit there. About a thousand or so. I remember being at the Giants Parade and the Yankee Parade. I was on scaffolding about 100 feet up because I was covering it for CBS2, here in New York as opposed to the fan.
But yeah, so as long as you know what you're getting into before you leave the house tomorrow, don't get frustrated. Understand, it's a hell of a lot of people that are going to be there and you may not get to sit or stand exactly what you hope to.
And that's just the reality of the amount of humanity that's going to be in a very small confined part of New York City. It's not going to stop us from enjoying it. It's going to be off the charts. Alicia Keys is performing and Jim Dolan may give us some other insight into other speeches or performances that we can expect at the parade. But it is going to be a once in a lifetime New York City moment. And for the fact that it's a planned event like Jessica Tish said, and it's the largest police presence in the history of New York City means that they expect millions of people, 10,000 cops will be in downtown Manhattan along the parade route, I'm sure, and Slurry Streets as well, as we get ready for an influx of people, the likes of which we have never seen before. Our live parade coverage will start with Evan and Tiki right at 10 o'clock. They will be at the parade as well, broadcasting from... City Hall. I don't know exactly where at City Hall, but they'll be at City Hall, so they will be able to bring you all the speeches, all the performances and all the sounds from there. So if you're going to be driving around tomorrow and there will be traffic coming through the Holland Tunnel for sure, or if you come in the path to lower Manhattan, be prepared for there to be a lot of extra people on those trains and subways as well. But you can keep the fan on because we'll keep your breast of everything and we will be live at the parade with Evan Tiki and Sean at 10 o'clock all the way to 2 o'clock and then Big Matt Canale will be back in the studio at 2 o'clock as well. So that's the best we can do to keep you informed.
