Welcome to another episode of Thoughts of a TechnoWizard. It is 9:48 a.m. And today I want to talk about a whole lot of things. Whole lot. So, I want to cover, you know, what I did yesterday, of course, getting into some cool stuff that I did with BTMP, or the concerns that I had, as well as, you know, my own, some, I'm not gonna say breakthroughs, but at least like new things I've ideated about my business. I want to talk about the idea of zero IP, of having, of kind of getting away from intellectual property. I want to talk about this, yet more about US design and why and how, you know, Debbie made another article about US design and how evangelizing does not work. I want to talk about, a little bit about that. I want to talk about bias and how, you know, based on Vsauce's episode of, it's called, The Future of Reasoning, I think it was called. And he was talking about how bias is actually kind of what we're built for and why it can be a good thing.
And yeah, I think that's the main stuff I want to talk about. So let's get into it. So yesterday, it started with me kind of having, again, this problem of feeling stuck, or at least feeling like there wasn't enough meaning. I don't want to say meaning in my life, but I just didn't feel good about myself, right?
And by talking it through with my partner, a wonderful, significant other, I was able to get to the point, get to the heart of this situation, which is that I feel like I don't have enough connections, enough holistic connections around who I am.
I know I'm a multi, I guess a multi-potentialite is the term that's seen in one of these TED Talks, where I'm interested in a whole lot of things, right? I have a huge amount of curiosities and interests, and it goes deep, fairly deep into a number of different areas. But it feels like I can't really talk about those things with a lot of people, with anyone in my life, right? I'm super grateful and appreciative of the connections that I do have and the depth I can go with these people. And I can talk about a number of things with them. But I can't, I often feel like I can't bring my whole self to the table in most of my relationships, in pretty much all of my relationships, right? Where I might be wanting to talk about something, but they're obviously not interested in it. Or, you know, maybe they have their own concerns if we talk about that. Or, you know, it's just, I just can't, I just feel like I can't bring my full self. And this has been a problem for a long time. Like I wrote a whole blog article where I was like, where I put in the title, Starving for Conversation, and I would just write about things every single day about things I want to talk about with other people.
And that didn't really go anywhere. It was fun for a little bit just to get my ideas out of my head, but I never found anybody to talk about these things with. You know, and that was years ago. That was like in 2016, 2017 or something like that. Right? So this has been a long-standing problem, but has been just one of many problems, right? Of a number of other areas during that time. Like that time was really rough for me in 2016 You know, we were struggling with like whether or not we're going to live on the street. You know, we ended up all having to live in this one small room in our cousin's place and all this other stuff. It's just, it was really rough. But, you know, that was why, that's why like it wasn't a huge concern because there were so many other bigger concerns. But now, you know, I'm feeling this in a much better situation. You know, we have our own place. Well, not, I'm talking about my family, not me, but, you know, my family has our own place now. I have a great relationship with my, you know, significant other. I have some network going on, some friends, you know, I'm building on, some skill sets that I'm building on. You know, things are looking up. Finances are getting a little bit better. Things are looking up. And so this leaves, you know, this one remaining place, where I feel like I really want to have that connection with somebody else who is interested in a number of these things that I want to talk about, that I want to work on, you know. When I look at folks like Lex Friedman, that's why I get so, I'm like so, so enjoy his podcast and his stuff, because he talks about so many things. And these are a number of the things that I like to talk about, that I want to go deep into, that I like to, you know, research about or think about every single day. And it's just so, so awesome to see that. And you know, he's the type of person I would love to be friends with. Kevin Kelly is another one, you know, he's a futurist. He talks about it, but like, unlike other people who might be a futurist in one direction, he talks about a number of things, everything from culture to technology to, to, you know, computers to, to everything, right?
