NFL, we talk some basketball. And now we get into Major League Baseball. We got a first pitch coming to us here momentarily. Royals and the Tigers. Waka versus Casey Mize. We were talking a little bit earlier. Tigers have now played themselves in a position where literally the next week of games might decide what they do as a franchise, you know, as to what they're going to do with, of course, their star starter and Tarek Schubel, who threw another gym yesterday with 12 strikeouts in this one. But Mize has been pretty good over the course of the whole season for them as well.

**Doug Kezirian** (1:57)
He's been shaky lately by his standards to your point. Now, Michael Walker has been all over the place for Kansas City. I think for me, the price is right here.
If I had to pick a winner of the game, I would pick Detroit, but not at that money line price. I've also I like this Tigers offense at times, but yesterday, I mean, maybe it's recency bias, but it concerned me a little bit. Back to back one run games over this Kansas City offense that's missing Bobby Witt Jr. Went on the IL after not playing since Monday with back issues. So I just can't lay $1.62 with Mize against Awaka, who actually could throw some BBs against this Detroit offense that has picked it up a little bit the last couple months. I think Riley Green's had a couple warning track outs the last couple games. I like some other sticks in the lineup, but this Royals team's generating a little more offense than I thought the last week or so.

**Matt Brown** (2:47)
This price is getting to the point. I don't, once we kind of start to get in the 150 range is when I, if I'm looking at a favorite, I kind of just start backing off with baseball round ball, round bat, weird things happen. You know, I don't I don't like to get into to that price.

**Doug Kezirian** (3:00)
Your $1.62 yesterday, you had Scoobel and he was like 230
I just think that was more line value. And if you did the run line like I did, you were you were happy with the bases loading the first inning up to nothing. And then they didn't score again, one, two, one. So you got to be careful to your point, Matt. I agree with you. If those prices like 140, 150 seem appealing, then it's like you got to win a lot more than you lose than you think. In order just to break even, I think you could do some, you know, maybe wait for in-game and hopefully maybe Kansas City scores first, right? Things like that.

**Matt Brown** (3:32)
If you really like that price, you you mentioned Casey Mize, the season statistics are are correct. It's a little bit rosier of a picture than it is over his last three starts. The 279 ERA is backed up by 294 expected. However, last three starts 397 expected that whip up to a 128 The K percentage drops from 25.6% over the course of the entire season down to 20.9%.
And the walk rate has spiked by 2% as well. So like I said, shaky over the last three there for Mize.

**Doug Kezirian** (4:03)
By his standards, right? And so if you don't know what you're going to get with a guy and you're laying a $1.62 and the other pitcher is not just a gas can and he has a higher ceiling, I mean, in essence, like Waka could easily outpitch Mize today, not for the season, but today. So I actually think it's the dogger pass here.
