This is Ready Set Bet with Matt Brown and Mike Somich on VSiN, the SportsBetting Network.

**Matt Brown** (0:40)
Our number three Ready Set Bet here on the SportsBetting Network, Matt Brown, Mike Somich coming to you live on the desk downtown Las Vegas, Cirque Resort and Casino as the Sportsbook starts to fill in a little bit as the sports action is underway out there. Of course, we had golf all day today because of their, they needed to start early because of the weather that is going on out there. So we already had golf going on, but Mike, we got some baseball that's going on out there as well. And we expected that the pirates and Mitch Keller might be in for something today. And bottom of the first three, nothing threads over the parts.

**Mike Somich** (1:16)
We can go ahead and file out one way where Mike should have bet it and didn't mention reds first five mentioned laying the half didn't do either three, nothing lead with burns on the Hill feels pretty safe.

**Matt Brown** (1:24)
Our white socks up to nothing on the race.

**Mike Somich** (1:27)
Another one where it's like with the power a little better socks.

**Matt Brown** (1:30)
Yeah. Look at that.

**Mike Somich** (1:31)
Two errors, not great already for the race, three errors in the game so far. One for the threat, white socks, two for the race, just one hit yet two runs. The error is probably assisted in that.

**Matt Brown** (1:42)
Yeah. It's a look. Pete Crow Armstrong is very likely your MVP if we decide that we're not going to give it to Shohei or something like that. But as we were looking through this over the course of the week, I thought there was a real case to be made for several different guys with big numbers attached to them because we did see PCA last year have an unbelievable first half and then crater in the second half. Now that hasn't happened so far for him here in the second half. But basically, the thought was is if you're putting a few triple digit tickets in your account, you don't feel bad if PCA just keeps it up and wins like, okay, it is what it is, right? But like, there's a very real chance that if the Reds don't sell, they're six games under 500
And if they go on any sort of tear, that LA, Delacruz is probably going to have a major role in the conversation. Like LA, Delacruz is probably going to go. Then at that point, probably gonna be a 30 30 guy and is going to be a huge part of that run. I was like, OK, 150 to one. You've made worse bets, right? You look at some of these other guys that were triple digits and all that. And like you start to kind of wonder with Shohei likely to not, especially now. So this is where this conversation is going, because with Shohei not going to pitch the rest of the season now for sure, with the acquisition of scubal basically says, we're going to make sure that he's just 100 percent healthy for the playoffs. Like we're not going to pitch him again this season. So with that, if you're just, if you're just a hitter and you're not better than the other hitters, then you can't just give it to him out of default. So I honestly think that all of these other guys are still very live. And I actually believe that some of the guys with the fat numbers are live even relative to PCA, because he could go on a two week slump where someone else goes on a two week heater and things drastically flip.

**Mike Somich** (3:27)
Well, I mean, PCA already did that early in the season. He was not good for a good month, month and a half early in the season. And then he has been incredible since it's not completely impossible. He struggles again at some point. That puts that makes the door wide open considering show. Hayes isn't going to pitch.

**Matt Brown** (3:43)
Yeah. I mean, you know, we all, we all know Dodgers are ruining baseball and like that's the, you know, what's going on right now, but at least it's, you know, it's at least that's just a known fact, right? Like it is. Yes. The Dodgers are ruining baseball. You can't even debate this.
