Welcome into Prop Points, your midday buffet of bets, analysis and insights on Brandon Kravitz alongside Erik Halterman as we once again fill the shoes of Nick Whalen and Jeff Erickson on the show today.
Got another top flight running back, getting paid. We'll talk about his season long props and fantasy impact. John McKechnie, our Roto-wire brethren chops it up about the college football betting guide and some of his favorite plays on the year. Ariel Epstein, the prop queen at the bottom of the hour, and we'll round out the show with Erik's Best Bets in Major League Baseball. Hall of Fame game last night did not disappoint Erik. It was an ACC classic as Haynes King from Georgia tech willed his team to victory as time expires. Carson Beck looked fantastic. 15 of 19 for 188 yards and a touchdown. I don't think we have any wild takeaways from this game, but pretty great to see football on the screen and dare I say, Erik, perhaps the most entertaining Hall of Fame game ever.

Yeah, I don't know who's done a conclusive ranking there. I'm sure that is BuzzFeed still around. I'm sure I'm sure they're on that sort of thing. But man, it was good just to have football back on the television. Again, I had to miss the start of this one host in the RotoWire fantasy baseball podcast last night. But when I was able to rejoin, just good to hear the crunch of the pads, the whistle of the whistle. Not sure how to finish that one there, but just good to have football back on TV. Who knows if it matters too much how any of these guys performed. Although maybe Carson Beck, right? It was a pretty strong performance from him. Couldn't ask for much more. I don't think he's likely to have a real chance to start the year as the Arizona quarterback. Or do you think there maybe is a chance if he keeps having a strong preseason?

Arizona is not supposed to be all that competitive. They're in one of the toughest divisions in football. So for them to have any sort of sights set on, on the playoffs is probably a bit unrealistic. They've got a new head coach and a Michael floor, the brother of Matt that they're breaking in as well.
I think the offense has a chance to be exciting with Jeremiah love. And if Marvin Harrison jr. Can activate anything close to what his potential is. But because of that, because this is very much a rebuilding year and one that they're aware of, Carson Beck does have a shot and it's at least a reason to watch the rest of these preseason games. You know, I think there probably are too many people out there. I haven't done a lot of listening today to the national media, but just knowing how people react to things like this, there's probably way too much. Carson Beck should be the starter now. Well, let's cool it over just a moment on that.
Jacoby Berset was not all that bad last year. They signed him to a pretty substantial one year deal to have him be the starting quarterback going into this year. So I don't think that we can just throw him out, but if Carson Beck continues to shine in the preseason, that's something that we can definitely look for. Haynes King wasn't bad either. The reigning ACC player of the year, 21 of 34, 180 yards, two passing touchdowns. And of course he ran one in. I had the Cardinals plus one and a half last night sitting pretty time expires. Haynes King runs it in. And we are reminded once again of the perils of betting on professional football. The Lions make Jahmyr Gibbs, the highest paid running back in NFL history, a three year extension is now pretty much all of the top guys in fantasy are getting extensions here as we get close to the season. Jonathan Taylor has been paid. Bijan Robinson has now been paid. What's funny here, Eric, is that when you look at the earnings, Jahmyr Gibbs, 22 and a half, a million dollars per year out earns Bijan by a hair 0.25 million dollars, which for guys like us would mean a lot. But for them, it's just, I guess it's more ego than anything else.
