1-2 pitch is swung on and missed. A change up gets Uglah, the sixth strike out of the game for Santana, and it is 2-0 match behind their ace.

As he walks off the mound, 104 pitches in his pocket, Having shut out the Marlins on two hits through eight innings. I would have to think he's gonna start the night.
Accepts the one-two pitch, ripped in the air, left field, deep but playable. Chavez on the warning track, put it in the books. A brilliant performance by Johann Santana, who shuts out the Florida Marlins on three hits, and has given the Mets a win and some life.
