Braves have a 2-1 lead on the Yankees in the 10th as we head to the bottom side of that frame. Mets are up 11-1 against the Pirates. We are nodded at 5 as we head to the 9th between Toronto and Philadelphia. Miami with a 10-2 lead against the Angels. Still in that rain delay in Chicago between the Guardians and the White Sox is 2-1 in the top of the 2nd. Nodded at 3 in the top of the 7th between Milwaukee and Minnesota. The Cardinals have a 4-1 lead on the Rockies in the bottom of the 5th. And the Orioles are up 7-3 against the Rangers in the bottom of the 4th. Three games set to get underway in the next 15 minutes. But anything that jumps out to you, Joe, what the scores from around the big leagues?

Yeah. How about Philadelphia blowing another lead? That bullpen is so problematic as we get ready for the playoffs here. And you know, Philly, this is a team that went in to buy, right? They got Arias and then what they did after that made no sense to me. Making everyone seemingly move positions could have been an easy, put Arias at first, put Harper in right field, you're done. Instead, they put Arias at second, they're moving Stott and Bohm and Harper.
Philadelphia might not make the playoffs after being buyers.
And their defense stinks, their bullpen stinks. You've got Arizona and San Diego. Right now, the Dbacks and Phillies are tied with the same record. San Diego is like a game behind them. Philly could be the odd man out. Come out today, Lizardo throws gas. 12 strikeouts, 7 innings, and Kirkering comes in, who had been their second best reliever all year. I don't know what's happened to him the last week. Plus, he's been awful. Now it's a tie game. Toronto, by the way, four games out of the wild card, despite being six games under 500 Like, Blue Jays are getting frisky.

Is there something to do here with this Toronto team? Because obviously the Dodgers of that equation, everyone's talked about them, they're the champions, but Toronto had the Dodgers on the ropes last year in the World Series. And now, this Toronto team that a lot of people liked heading into the season, it was horrendous for the first 60% of this season. But recently, they're in shouting distance now.
Like, Cease is cooking. I know they traded away Gosman, so they were in sell mode, but could they perhaps almost kind of be like the Tigers, where the Tigers sold and they start playing really good baseball? Could Toronto do the same in that American League East?

I mean, they've got the guys in that lineup, right? Even though they lost Bichette in the off season, which I don't think is a huge loss. Like, it's pretty much the same lineup as last year. The starting pitching is a big concern, but they also had these weird, like, they sold on some guys like Gosman, and then they bought on Soriano. I mean, at the end of the day, they replaced Gosman with Soriano, who Soriano is actually having a better year. So yeah, this Blue Jays team, I mean, it's funny, we talk about the Pirates, right? And oh, they're four and a half out now, like they're out of it, because the NL field is so crowded, but the American League, it's wide open. No one wants that sixth spot, it seems like, right?
